I bought this for my niece (We got the model with purple ball things and green sticks), and I was a little skeptical because of reviews talking about it falling apart easy. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy it is! The pieces hold together well enough that we can throw a thick blanket on top of our forts without anything bending or snapping, and there are a lot of things you can make. It’s given us hours of fun, even as adults (though adults don’t fit inside. I’d order two if you need it tall enough for a child over 5’ or so). The one thing that may pose as an issue for younger kids building is that it’s kind of difficult for them to snap pieces together and apart. However, it’s easy for adults to do and my 6 yo niece was able to when she put in the effort. Overall, it’s a good value for what we paid and I don’t think it’s one of those toys that will be tossed aside within a week. ... show more

This is the most genius fort building kit ever imagined. I purchased two! My grandsons love it! Pieces are large enough to not be a choking hazard for smaller siblings. This is made of plastic which is fine for my 2 & 4 yr old but would not last with older kids which is the only reason I gave it a 4 star rating. But my boys love making tunnels and forts with it. Tons of pieces!!

My oldest (10) got a smaller set (same brand) for Christmas. She used the cash she got to buy a second one and we didn’t realize it was bigger! I do wish I had a few straight t or cross connectors. Today we had it all of two minutes before it was all out and taking up the majority of the room to build a fort big enough for 4 of us to be inside. Things hold up pretty well but sometimes connections come undone when you don’t want them to. We did have one rod crack somehow. My two kids (7,10) have played with them non stop since Christmas. We love this set. It’s very sturdy and easy to put together. We use the parachute like fabric to drape over the structure since blankets might be too heavy for it. The more you build it, the better you are at it! Getting easier each time ! The most important thing is that it’s very sturdy and stays put. It doesn’t collapse like others we had in the past!
