We wanted to have a snorkel to use in the lake that we swim in. Not for serious snorkeling but just to look at the fish under the water. I would recommend reading up on how to use a full-face snorkel and the safety issues before heading out. It's important to ensure that there is a tight fit around the inner chamber, around the nose and mouth as well as the outer ring around the face, as it's needed to keep the CO2 out of the breathing area. I have a smaller head and it fit quite tightly, there was no fogging, and you get a wide view. Examining of the snorkel, there are 3 valves; 2 to allow the air to come in and the third in the mouth are for expelling the air you breath out. It appears that the expelled air/CO2 is channeled along the outer rim of the snorkel upwards to the tube. Again, it's important to follow safety protocol and read up on the proper usage. The valves appear to be quite thin and are flexible to allow air in an out. When I was examining the snorkel, I accidentally popped out one of the valves. It important to check that they are securely in place before using. Design wise, it appears that that may be a possible flaw, especially if they are easy to pop out. I can see how this would be preferable to a casual user who doesn't want to have to learn to breathe through your mouth. This is definitely easier to use, but it can be claustrophobic for some. ... show more

I am by no means an expert snorkeler, but I do have some limited experience snorkeling. I first snorkeled off the coast of the Sinai Peninsula over 50 years ago. Since then, it has been my pleasure to snorkel in the Bahamas, Hawaii, Mexico and Catalina Island, to name a few. The ForShine Snorkel Mask, Snorkeling Mask is, by far, the best and most innovative snorkel mask that I have ever used. It features a “full face”. When using, you can breathe through your nose, mouth, or both…no mouthpiece necessary. The lens provides a clear panoramic view. The ForShine Snorkel Mask, Snorkeling Mask includes mounting hardware for a GoPro camera to preserve those precious underwater memories. A fitted carry/storage bag is also included. I needed to get a wet suit so that I could properly test the ForShine Snorkel Mask,Snorkeling Mask since our water is pretty cold. I do not own a GoPro (yet) so I was unable to test the camera feature. Despite my snorkeling experience I have suffered claustrophobic panic episodes when snorkeling, usually when I first start out. If I can get past that initial panic, I am usually okay. I had no panic issues with the ForShine Snorkel Mask,Snorkeling Mask, possibly because breathing is so natural with this mask. I noticed a slight fog of the lens when I wore the mask in the air, but the fog cleared almost immediately once I got into the water. I had no fogging while swimming with my face submerged. I also experienced almost no leakage of water into the mask. A couple of times I flexed my cheeks allowing a small amount of water to leak into the mask. This water cleared out almost immediately. I snorkeled for about 20 minutes with no issues at all. Overall, I am very impressed with the ForShine Snorkel Mask,Snorkeling Mask. I must say that I had more fun testing this item than any item that I have tested for Amazon. Now that I have a wetsuit and a good snorkel mask, it may be time for me to try out the GoPro. Pros: 1.     • Fun, with a few differences from normal snorkel setup

Our 9 year old saw this and wanted to give it a shot in the pool. He found the mask to be comfortable and it certainly sealed well around his face. He's never snorkeled with a traditional setup and he appreciated the ability to breath through his nose. There was a moment where he got the angle wrong so water intruded into the mask. It's the angle that I found to be the biggest difference when I tried it out. The snorkel feels a bit short at this angle from the mask and I found myself being a bit more worried about having my head at just the right angle than I would be with a regular snorkel. Plus you don't just have a small tube to purge water out of... On the plus side, it's comfortable and makes for a pleasant experience on the surface of the water. The included go-pro mount is a neat feature but you've got to make sure to keep your head under enough to submerge the camera for best visuals. I personally still prefer my traditional setup but my son absolutely loves this mask so... possibly a great choice for folks new to snorkeling that won't be diving to the bottom of where ever they happen to be swimming. ... show more

This fits well and the silicone makes the fit very comfortable. The head straps are much more comfortable than my regular mask. This might not be good for diving down deep but for surface snorkeling it will be good. This is an easy breathing setup without having to bite a separate snorkel the whole time. Having a larger area to look through makes it nice. Having a camera mount for the GoPro is a great thing. No more having to use the chest strap and maneuvering your body to get a shot. If you’re traveling to your snorkeling location, just know that this mask takes a bit more room in your suitcase. It does come with it's own bag but I would protect the front of the mask from scratches that might happen during travel. ... show more

For slightly more than the rental cost of a regular snorkel and goggles this was the "no brainier" option. I have a smaller head and my husband has a larger head and this size fit both of us with small adjustments of the straps. We have not had a chance to wear it in the swimming pool to test it out. If you are claustrophobic, it does feel like you are stuck inside of some thing, but it’s still easy to breathe out of. I just got a little panicky when I tried it on it fits comfortably and feels like it seals tightly and if not, it can be adjusted. We plan to use it in Mexico in a couple weeks. ... show more
