I have been looking at ebikes for about three years. Most people think ebikes are for city use however I live in the suburbs. There are more and more of these bikes popping up in my area every day I purchased this bike for a variety of reasons. First was price east power of the ebike and availability. I was going on a trip to the ocean. And I wanted to make sure the head this bike prior to going. It is a folding bike.... I put it in the back of our s u v, And my wife was not exactly excited about it Thinking it took up too much room. However, once that was then and everything else nicely packed around it, it actually worked out perfectly. This folding like assembled very quickly. The longest part was unpackaging it. It does weigh sixty six pounds after it is out of the box. I'm not sure how clear it was in the description but this bite came with, A phone holder and a chain lock. If you are looking for the kind with numbers that is not what they send, they send it with a key. So you get two keys for the e bike itself Then you get 2 additional keys, which are different from ebike keys. And that is for the chain. I would say that mirrors or something would be imperative. Because of the l c d screen that gives the miles per hour and a variety of other information on the left side, and then on the right side is the gear switch as well as the cellphone holder. So there really is not a place for mirrors. They do sell mirrors that go into the end of the handlebars however these Handlebars have more of a comfort fit and there's really no way to Fit a mirror in the end of the handlebar without making a huge mess of your actual comfort grip. I plan on buying a camera which I'll put on either the back of the seat or on the back of the rack just above the brake light. The lights work great, and they are very bright As well as the red light in the back, which is on when the headlight is on. It took a little getting used to, But it is awesome What I didn't realize was the pedal assist.. Originally, my hand was getting tired from holding on the throttle when I was going a decent distance However you do not need to do that once you arewriting And if you Start paddling you can take your hand right off of that throttle. Even if you stop peddling, your hand can still be off Is the throttle as each speed level only allows you to go so fast. Level one being the slowest and level five being the fastest. It states it goes thirty miles per hour. I have gotten it as fast as 26 miles per hour. I'm sure it can go faster. The battery life is amazing. They stated it takes about six hours to fully charge. I actually think I had a pair maybe five hours charging. I actually went on the vacation. I think I would do anything near where that battery would die. But I actually did about twenty one miles while on vacation. The screen does have riding time as well as trip mileage And of course total mileage ridden. I probably would have done more. But I wasn't sure how much battery life I had since I did not bring the charger with me. Not knowing the bike. I wasn't sure how much. I could actually write it when there were three bars left on the charger. When I say bars there is a Picture on the l c d screen that shows your battery life plus you can also push a button on the actual battery to let you know As well, but that doesn't tell you kind of where you're at, and just let you know you still have a charge left. If someone is afraid or nervous to ride on one of these based on the speed, just put it at level one, When you do that, you barely move. It's like getting on a regular bike and trying to get started. That literally is all it does for you in level one. This is something I absolutely would buy again. However I don't need to at this point. I highly recommend this. It is fun efficient, fast and awesome. I'm sure model R8 It's just as good however I bought model R8-V I am six foot 1 and 275 pounds. The seat goes plenty high enough. The model that I bought makes so much easier to get on and off. I am in my 50s, but personally it doesn't matter what age you are. It's just easier to get on and off while having the seat at the proper height . Is a helmet is required in most states. And there are laws for young adults in terms of age based under state as well. ... show more

Took it out hunting. It handles rough terrain really well (dual suspension front/seat makes for a really smooth ride), rides like a dream. Simply, an outstandinhg product. And a steal, pricewise. Just a great product and a great deal. I wish I coulkd procure a backup battery and I wish they had more accessories for attaching a deer cart or anything.. really. But, woith a bit of skill and creativity, this all is easy to offset. So.. still 5 stars. ... show more

Easiest assembly possible, just attach handle bars and plug in the horn/headlight, no tools needed. Extremely comfortable seat, I'm 6'0 and weight 250 but it supports my chunky butt very well. It's a gorgeous bike, a few people have flagged me down to talk and they all thought it "cost a pretty penny" and were shocked when I told them the actual price. In 5th gear I only get about 18-20 miles, so dont make long distance plans...I'm not exactly aerodynamic though. ... show more

It’s always gut wrenching to make such an expensive purchase knowing that returning it or repairs w be near impossible (more hassle than help). This bike doesn’t throttle as I expected, it only works if you haven’t already maxed out your assist level speed- so it’s not a true throttle. You end up using the +/- to get you out of sticky spots where you need that instant power boost, but it’s workable. The seat itself is super comfortable. I like that it wiggles rather than is rigid which makes it even more comfortable while riding. The handle bars are great, the controller mostly intuitive. The lights and horn are great features. I liked that it came w a cushion for someone to sit on the back, but there’s no footrests for that passenger so this is really just for show- you’ll be better off w a basket at the back. Assembly was fine. There’s very little assembly to do but it still took me 30-60 min bc the instructions were hard to figure out what was meant and I was afraid to goof it up. The advertisement said this bike will get up to 31mph, but my level 5 maxes out at 19mph (which is fine for me). And the battery is advertised as supporting up to 45 miles - but I used mine in just battery assist modes 1-3 over 15 miles distance and found my battery down to 1/3 life remaining when I had started fully charged. I had contacted customer service when I first was putting the bike together as the chain was off the tracks. Fortunately I figured it out for myself as now it’s 2 weeks later and I’ve still not heard a peep from the vendor. All in all, I’m content. For $850 it does the job, can fit my needs, and gets lots of compliments out in the neighbourhood. ... show more

This is a well built solid e-bike. Has great acceleration and pedal assist and when the motor kicks in you will feel the fun. If it’s too much simply tap the breaks to disengage the motor. Good torque. Helped me pedal up a steep trail while also giving me a great workout. Do not be mistaken by e-bikes, you will get your heart rate up and achieve great exercise on this bike. But with the workout comes the distance you travelled in that time. Was a breeze to put together, was packaged well nothing damaged and included a tool set to put the bike together. This comes with a headlight and twilight as well. Very fun bike and highly recommended. ... show more

    • Impossible for me to pedal
The radius that the pedals rotated in placed the high pedal too high for me to hit it. Thus could pedal could not be used to ride as a regular bike. Obviously if the seat were raised all would work OK However I live in a gated community and have to unlock a gate to get in or out. Have to be seated on bike feet on ground while using keys in lock. Also dealing with BIG-E-bike Store was was a nightmare. ... show more
