Love how this folds!! I live alone, so I can leave it with 1 or 2 spaces open and that’s plenty. But when I host and have a lot of dishes, being able to just pull another fold or two out and have extra room is so nice! I’ve never been a huge fan of a drying mat on my counter so I like that this can take up a very small amount of space when I don’t need it, but expands when I need more room for dishes. It’s pretty easy to clean, BUT, it does need cleaned pretty frequently. The little grooves hold the water so it needs rinsed pretty frequently. It will dishwash too which is nice. ... show more

They are wonderful and I love them! They absorb water well, much better than my cloth mats. Another great feature is they roll up securely out of the way. I used to have to hang the cloth ones on my kitchen drawer knobs to dry and to make room on the counter. Then getting in and out of the drawers was a huge inconvenience. Like I said! It has “feet” on one side for the dishes, but should have “feet” on the other side as well, so the silicone can breathe so if water gets underneath (like normally happens when you are doing dishes) then it can evaporate. But this only has it on one side, so if you don’t pick it up soon, your counter will suffer from having a wet spot, cause it will just sit! And we all know how granite doesn’t like being wet 🤦♀️ . So what I do now, is I either have to have a towel under it (defeats the purpose, right?!?) or I flip it over to where the teeth are on the counter side and the flat side is on the side waiting for the dishes. This item meets all my needs. I needed something that wasn't going to take up a lot of space and wouldn't look bad if it was left out on the counter.
