I was rather surprised at the quality when I opened up the box. I had previously had one of the expensive gel pads that 15 years ago cost $100 and it was hard to keep clean as the finish was matte. I'd like to give this a 5 star but can't. While it does stay cushiony & the color is nice, it begins to peel & crack in areas of repetitive standing. If it's not a high traffic area these may last a long while.

I'm very satisfied with the comfort and softness of the mats, this is probably one of my favorite purchases of all times. I wished I could have known about these long before now. I find myself going into the kitchen just to stand on them and I have been telling everyone about my purchase. I ordered a set of 2,and I will be most definitely be ordering another set to put in my kitchen because I need one more, but I will use the runner to use beside my bed just for the soft feeling that I feel in my feet, legs and knees. I've only ever purchased these type of floor mats from Costco and whoever made those uses a pretty thick padding so that's all I've ever known. Costco is not selling them right now and they only came in brown so I found these from Amazon. While it is as described, these are on the thinner side (you get what you pay for?) especially since I am used to a thick pad. If you need/want thick padding, these are not it. I have to say that I am very impressed with this set of two mats that I purchased from Amazon and I received in a few days. The shipping was very fast and I was quite impressed by this, not to mention that it was actually put in a box and packed properly so it wouldn't rip the box apart. I have to admit that the mats are a little bit smaller than I thought they would be, but I think that was just my own idea of what I expected rather than looking at a tape measure and realizing that it was a great deal. They are nice and thick,( at least 2x as thick as the ones at the dollar general) and they are very well made. They also don't have any odor like the cheap ones do, you know that nasty chemical smell, but they really cushion your feet, I'm about 260 lbs and I don't feel the floor in the kitchen when I do the dishes or if I'm in front of the oven for a few minutes or longer than 20 minutes, my wife was in the kitchen doing sewing and she was saying that her feet were hurting and I asked her if she was standing on the mats and she didn't know that they were there so I got one and moved it to her and she told me that it made the world of difference within 10 minutes. ... show more

I bought 2 sets of these for my kitchen for in front of the sink, cooker and refrigerator, they look clean and stylish and stay in place well, they are comfortable under your feet, quite thick and easy to clean, they are a good weight so they don’t shift around the floor.
