With a pregnant wife and a toddler and me working out of town this stairs come in handy. My wife would wait for me to come home for a weekend to take my dog out. But now that we bought the dog stair she hasn’t left him home since. Our lab is a little scared to jump up to the jeep. Set up is really fast and sturdy.     • Not sturdy
When attached to tail gate, the bottom legs do not sit sturdy on the ground. You have to hold the top part down or it pops up when my dog tries to climb them. Very disappointed.

    • Better for smaller animals
I liked the portability and the design. My dog is a 65 lb boxer mix and it seems a bit unstable when he uses it. The steps are made from a canvas style fabric so not super firm under foot if the animal is heavier. I think small dogs would use this easily.

I wasn't quite sure how sturdy these would be, but they are quite sturdy. My bullmastiff is 134.5 lbs and he goes up and down them with ease. Definitely recommend these.

My 80lb yellow lab is able to get into the back of my Jeep without any issues using these stairs. The concept is great, but the quality is absolutely terrible. I’m writing this review on August 8th 2023 and I’ve only had the item since July 15th, 2023. During my brief ownership, the item has completely fallen apart: the cross members of the frame have broken off/seperated from their mounting screw, the plastic caps keep falling out, the screws back themselves, and the extremely thin wall tubing is deforming. Like I said, the idea is great, the item folds down, and is easy to set up. The execution needs a lot of work. The frame needs to be thicker gauge material, the threaded ferrules/inserts in the tubing need better mechanical retention (they pull out very easily once the tube is bent), and the socket head screws need to be installed with thread locker. Maybe I got a dud and will see if a warranty exchange is possible and if the replacement is any better. I do really want to like this product. ... show more

    • Not the most stable
The pros - lightweight and easy to store until needed Cons - not sturdy, wants to tip over when dog starts to climb. The dogs are very afraid to use these because of this. No matter how I set it up, the stairs don't stay in one place.

    • A small learning curve needed but worth it!
Took sometime to get my dog used to it , but once she tried it couple times it’s very safe and easy to get the dog in and out of your car. Especially if your dog has weak joints. Definitely recommend!
