  • Want to go sailing? This is for you!
Size: 10x10 Color: Gray
Have you ever wanted to go sailing, but was afraid of the water? Now you can do it with this tent. The side wall was bulging everywhere, pushing our items and kids aside. I had to tie tight bungee cords to stop it. Even then, it was acting like a sail. The tent canopy is only held at the corners with Velcro (which YOU have to do). They couldn't even bother to do it at the factory for you. They falsely advertise 1 person set up in 1 minute, but the truth is it requires 2 people to expand and contract the frames. You'll struggle for a long time alone. In fact, the product details state, "Next generation canopy designed so two people can set it up in seconds with no tools necessary." Seconds? More like a few minutes, especially the first time since YOU need to put the roof on, which is made of extremely thin fabric, unlike typical canopies. The sand bags are nice. What we did was calculate the amount of volume and therefore sand required (I'm a math wiz) and bought sand from Home Depot, bagged it into multiple trash bags, and tied it up, and then that goes into a thick reusable grocery bag. That is then folded and taped at the top with strong shipping tape. This is then enveloped by the sand bags. Actually, for the actual process, we placed one trash bag into another, placed the two inside the thick reusable grocery bag, and then into the sand bag so as the sand was put in, the sand bag formed the shape needed. We used a P100 NIOSH approved respirator and an N95 mask as the sand was kind of fine. We tried our best to ensure each roof leg were in the correct location as we've used this type of push popup tent before for camping. We thought we did it correctly. However, after the farmers market ended, we looked up and two different roof legs were not aligned as you can see from the image. It's hard to confirm if this happened as a result of 5-8 mph winds, or if we somehow missed it initially. We had two pairs of eyes on it initially so I'd be surprised if we missed it during initial setup. There was another tent from this manufacturer we purchased which did not come with a side wall. We felt that one was designed better as it hooked the roof cover to the sides with clips as well as Velcro on the corners, while this product only attaches the roof cover at the corners with Velcro. (See images I posted of another product from the manufacturer which shows a red clipon on the side of the roof, which this specific product does NOT have). Also, the carry-on bag opens a zipper in the middle for the other one, allowing ease of covering the tent when you put it away. For this product, you have to force the carry-on down and over because there's no zipper in the bag cover, risking damage to the actual thin roof cover. Finally, the straps with a plastic stick meant to keep the carry-on bag down so you can drag it on wheels kept coming off. I cannot recommend this specific tent. Perhaps the other variant might be better. However, I cannot attest to long term resistance to rain, wind or the elements as the support frame are weak and the cloth material are extremely weak, similar to a thin top bed sheet. The adjustable control for the legs are nice though. Edit update 6/21/23: The manufacturer did contact me to refund me, but I already initiated it through Amazon. Props to the manufacturer. In fairness, putting the canopy cover on isn't an issue. But, you shouldn't need to take it off repeatedly after each use. If you have to, then the material is too weak and should have been thicker to begin with. Also, for 1 person put up and take down, during the putting up process, I needed to lift the frame up and let gravity and friction hold down 1 or 2 legs stationary, which then allows me to pull and spread the side closest to me. As for the side cover, you're better off buying a 10 x 8 heavy duty tarp with around 12 mm thickness (not the ones with only 8 mm or something) and tie the edge grommets to the tent frame with bungee cords, the type with balls on one end. Heavier tarps won't fly in the wind. I did try a similar cover with the same company. While the cloth (measured as 150D, which is rain resistant with a spray, not rainproof like thicker cloth that's measured as 400D in heavier tent canopies) is light and adds to the lightness of the overall product, I'd be willing to pay decent money for a similar lightweight easy push up frame with thicker rainproof cover, especially one without an opening at the top. The overall product weight will go up, but at least it'll be waterproof. For now this tent is best in geographical areas where there's low winds. If water resistance is like other similarly designed tents from the company, I'd think sustained moderate or heavy rain will surely wet things under this tent canopy. Edit July, 2023: For the benefit of the doubt, I tried another of this company's canopy tents. In moderate to heavy rain, rainwater seeped through the air vent and into the roof supports, dripping down to us below. See images posted. Note the rain images are NOT of this specific product, but of the other tent made by this same manufacturer. While this specific tent canopy didn't get used in the rain, I suspect something similar will happen. The other one however had a tight stretched roof cover, so no rainwater pooled. And the water-resistant spray they used on the roof allowed water to stream down the roof sides, except for getting wet from what I mentioned above. At this time, the recommendation for this tent and any with an air vent above, and/or 150D water-resistant roof fabric as opposed to 400D 100% thick waterproof roof fabric is for people who live in low rain areas like California or the Southwest. If so, this design is the best thing since sliced bread. If you live in rainy areas, or those that can be hit by monstrous heavy rain like the central plains, I suspect eventually you may need to buy water-repellent sprays and apply it to the cover. The benefits of this tent canopy is it's about 50% lighter (30+ pounds) than typical ones (60+ pounds) and is about a feet or so shorter for easier transport. You're sacrificing strength and rainproof for ease of transport and setup. Even then, I think you're better off with another of this manufacturer's other tent canopies. For example, a carry-on bag with zippers going up half the side enables you to put it on much easier, reducing forced friction damage on the thin roof cover material. ... show more

  • Easy set up, opaque silver lining on the cover and side wall
Size: 10x10 Color: Beige
I bought this to take to outdoor events when I am a vendor and to also take camping. It is easy for me to move and set up by myself. It looks great. I purchased the khaki color. I like the silver lining on the inside of the canopy cover and the back side of the shade wall to make the material more opaque for better shade. The raised vent at the top elevates the look of the canopy and it looks more professional for vendor events. It included bags for making your own weights for the legs. It came with thin metal stakes to help secure it in the ground but these bent easily and were not usable after the second use. This did not bother me since I would rather secure it with sand bags anyway. The canopy cover comes packaged separately from the frame. After I installed the cover on the frame, I left the cover on the frame when putting it away and had no trouble collapsing the frame and getting the carry case over the frame with cover. I am very happy with my purchase and I have used it many times already since purchasing it just a few weeks ago. It kept us and our gear dry in the rain when we took it camping. ... show more

  • Super easy setup. Awesome heat vent!
Size: 10x10 Color: Beige
This is the second canopy I have owned. Super easy to setup. At the time is this review, I've used this twice in the two weeks that I have owned this. The heat vent was super helpful in keeping us cool. I did a side by side comparison and walked into our neighborhood canopy without heat vent and ours was much cooler since the heat can escape. My guess is a few degrees cooler but I couldn't confirm. For sure the air felt less stuffy and our guests were more comfortable in the canopy with heat vent. I did notice a tiny little hole about the size of 1/8" diameter at a couple places. Not sure if it came that way or if we caused the rip during setup, someone else's canopy was placed really close to ours and I think it was rubbing a bit. Will see how long it lasts. ... show more

  • Amazing For Business Fairs/Markets
Size: 10x10 Color: Gray
I have this tent for my small business to use at vendor fairs. I needed something that I could either put together by myself or one other person easily and quickly. I used it for the first time this past weekend. I had to walk to my spot and was able to roll the tent on the wheels which was a lifesaver. The cover snaps into the wheels to stay locked on which is a genius invention. I had 2 extra people with me and we were able to get it out of the case, put the canopy on it, stretch it out, and put it up completely within 5 minutes. I was amazed. I SO APPRECIATE the weight bags that come with it. I went to Lowe's and bought 2 $5.99 bags of rocks (each about 25ish pounds?) and split them between the 4 weight bags. The weight bags have 4 velcro strips that wrap around each leg of the tent and sit right up against the legs so they are not in the way. I strung lights in the top of the tent for some extra lighting (part of the event was in the evening) and it was perfect. The top of the canopy has a vent in it for extra air flow. A few times a strong little breeze came along and knocked over some of my displays, but the tent never budged. I most definitely would rather set back up some displays than chase a tent around. This is a solid investment. Totally worth the money. Do your research and find you a solid tent like this one. I'll use this for years to come. I'm pumped. ... show more

  • Great canopy, weak bag
Size: 10x10 Color: Siver-coated White
I’m not sure what happened but I ordered one of these and the order went in three time so I ended up with three. No problem, send two back at no cost for a refund. But, after setting up one of these it was so easy and I liked so much I kept two and just sent one back. I love the design of the carry bag, its so easy to get every thing back in the bag and zips ip nice and snug. Now the bad part; as I was putting this away after a trial set up I gave the bag handle a little tug to get it up over a small step and the seam on the bag ripped open. I wish the bag was made a little sturdier. I would still recommend this canopy just be careful how handle it in its bag ... show more
