I have an ice maker on my fridge that never got hooked up. I use this little machine when I need ice. The ice taste great of you use spring water the performance is great there is some noise which is to be expected when the ice drops into the tray. I think the value for the money is spot in.

I cleaned it,Filled it with drinking water,Pluged it in pushed power button twice as instucted about a hour later it was full of ice and needed dumping.You better have a ice bucket ready to put in frezzer.This makes ice faster than you can!

I ordered this specifically for the self-cleaning. It requires a baking soda water mixture be added to clean the machine once/week and to cycle it 5 times each time it’s cleaned. That’s me cleaning NOT self-cleaning. Will update if I like it after the 24 hour waiting period.

It makes ice...slowly. So slowly that it can't keep up with a decent coolers rate of melt. Maybe if you were able to run it 24/7 you'd get ahead but that's not possible since the ice will melt in the tray so you MUST babysit it the entire time it's running. The tray only holds about 4 cycles and shuts off so if you're not around to empty it every half hour, you won't have any ice at all. ... show more

I realized after buying that this just makes the ice then u need to put ice in freezer. Not what I wanted and not clearly stated that this just makes ice. I will return it
