  • We found that setting the temp. at 120 degrees works fine. Setting lower runs out of hot water.
Style: Propane Material Type: 6.3GPM 145,000BTU
The space saving, the LP savings, the economic reasoning is sound. I t does require a Plumber with gas hookup ability - or a plumber and gas man to install it. This is not really a DYF project. We were not familiar with this brand, but research showed this to be a very good product with good reliability and at a good price. I had been advised to go for more than a 5.5 GPM unit for two people. This seems to be good advice. We are delighted with this unit so far. ... show more

  • Got replacement
Style: Propane Material Type: 6.3GPM 145,000BTU
After some trouble with first unit we finally got a new one. Easy to install. Works great! We have a small home with two baths and no one runs out of hot water! Down side is we do have to let water run to get up to temp to run dishwasher. Washing machine we just use cold water. Other than that I really like this product and our propane usage has gone way down. ... show more

  • Don’t do it. For any reason. The review I wish I’d seen.
Style: Propane Material Type: 7.5GPM 170,000BTU
Purchased April 6th 2023. Would give anything for a Time Machine. Professional install, everything done correctly and as suggested..and I can count on one hand how many times I’ve turned my water on and hot water came out the first try. It usually takes turning it off and back on 5-6 times before the water actually is warm. (And I’m talking let it run for 3-5 minutes each time). You can Forget an uninterrupted shower, It kicks on and off, throws error codes and shuts off while running. When it’s checked for errors nothing shows of course so there’s “nothing to fix”. Absolutely ridiculous. I’ll never own another one of these in my life. It simply does not work..unless you want hot water when it decides to work, but not on your time. I wouldn’t take it if someone paid me to. Not even getting started on the hassle it was to actually get it delivered. I’m done with it. It’ll be in my front yard tomorrow morning and I’ll have a traditional water heater. ... show more

  • A few problems
Style: Propane Material Type: 6.3GPM 145,000BTU
It heats the water heat and we never run out of hot water. Takes a long time to get hot in our tiny cabin though. That doesn't bother me so much but every time you turn the water off.... even for a second (as in doing dishes etc) it takes just about as long as it did the FIRST time to get hot again. Tried to call the # for the company and it has been changed or disconnected. Wish I knew what is wrong...... ... show more

  • E8 error code on a new install
Style: Propane Material Type: 7.5GPM 170,000BTU
The unit was touchy to start and after a few off/on cycles it would fire up. Probably just needed to purge the air out of the gas system within the unit. Once it would stay running it kept throwing the E8 error code and shutting down. I finally got a hold of a factory tech who sent me the instructions to increase the exhaust fan speed threshold. That solved the problem and the water heater appears to be doing what it is supposed to do. Time will tell. ... show more

  • Well, it works, now.
Style: Propane Material Type: 7.5GPM 170,000BTU
Pros 1. Can use standard type b 3" venting like a standard water heater with a tank. 2. Easy to install.* 3. Slim profile. Looks nice. Cons 1. No customer support from Fogatti. Yeah, I tried 2 different numbers 3 times during their listed business hours went to dead lines every time and not even a response from their email address. I wish this wasn't true as it makes me concerned for when it eventually breaks. 2. It takes a couple seconds for the heater to see water flow and start. (Expect cold water for a few seconds at the faucet no matter where you are located.) 3. Hot water temperature can vary several degrees as different burners ignite. 4. Would not start at first due to ignitor wiring falling off as it is a very loose connection. 5. Would still error on code E1 even after connecting the ignitor as the spark was incorrectly located and had inconsistent ignition. It needed to be about 4mm more into the unit. (If there was no insulation between the furnace and the ignitor it would have been positioned almost correctly.) Tip: you can use a stainless steel hose clamp to secure the vent. ... show more

  • Water Heater.
Style: Propane Material Type: 7.5GPM 170,000BTU
I love it, little hard to follow the book as it states "3" VENT but doesn't say PVC or Steel. Over all once we got the VENTING right it works BETTER than expected and would highly Recommend to anyone.
