Description

Our foams are made in the USA! 1.8 High High density foam has a compression rate of 44 lbs. This means for every 44 lbs on a general idea, your foam will compress by 1 inch. High density foam is designed for that firm feeling for those who dont want to sink into their couch. 100% recovery rate, durability : durable, high density foam suitable for long-term use. Dacron is a polyester batting that should be added to any foam surface so that it will not be exposed directly to the fabric. It reduces the friction foam has, and thus reduces wear to fabric. Most importantly, batting fills in any slackness in how you've upholstered your furniture, cushion, etc. And because this will make your upholstered piece looks better. Packing, shipping & cutting foam packages need to be opened immediately once you receive the package. Do not let the foam sit unopened for more than 1 week. Do not open with a box cutter. Use a ball point pen or a pencil. Start by making a little incision and break it from there. Durability : will last 7 to 10 years. Care instructions : when unpacking, allow at least 2 days for the foam to breathe in order to recover its original size and form. Ideal uses for foams are for Mattresses, Chair Pads, Seat Pads, Cushion, Chairs, Furniture, Pillow, Seat Cushions, Chair Cushions, Patio Cushions, Furniture Cushions, Rocking Chair, Car Seats, Upholstery Repair, Chair Upholstery, Foam Mattress, and Mattress. I bought this to put on my truck seat to make the seat more comfortable and it worked great. I put down two layers of this on the seat and it literally saved my lower back and behind over more than 8000 miles of driving a big rig. An important point is that this foam is dense enough and firm enough to provide the cushioning that is needed to keep your butt properly supported while driving. Using this foam I realized that if you use a softer foam it will not be firm enough to cushion you properly. This foam is firm enough to effectively spread out the force all around your back side. Softer foams will not do it. Softer foams will just crush too easy and spread the force over a smaller area of your butt. It's hard to explain why, but it's true. I'm an engineer and I know. This foam is also very tear resistant and durable. After sitting on it, and handling it, and stretching it during repositioning and getting in and out of the seat hundreds of times it showed no signs of permanent compression or tearing (although I was careful not to tear it). I would highly recommend this for using on seats. You can see on the internet that higher density and higher stiffness foams like this are recommended for seats, and from using this for about 8000 miles I see that advice is spot on.     • The foam does not measure 4in thick! This foam is 3.5-3.75 in thick

This foam is not as advertised, it is not 4in thick. The existing platform bed foam was a 4in thickness and the covers are upholstered for that size foam so this would not work as it is only 3.5 in thick.
