I bought this product to cut up and use as padding in several different sizes of rifle cartridge boxes. Depending upon the box height and the cartridge overall length, you get a lot of empty space for the individual cartridges to rattle around, possibly upsetting the bullet alignment with the axis of the shell case ("Run-out"). After measuring several different boxes and loaded rifle cartridges I decided to buy the 1/2" foam padding for most of my specific needs. Thicker or thinner padding may be more appropriate for different combinations. For example, I used two 1/2" pads (1" total) in the larger box in the photo because 7.62.39mm cartridges are pretty short for this particular cartridge box. I could have also bought 1" padding, but using two 1/2" pads works just as well and I still have about half the original 1/2" thick sheet left after padding about two dozen cartridge boxes of various sizes. So long as you don't mind the white color, this is MUCH cheaper than buying small sheets specifically designed for these boxes. ... show more

I purchased this to add to my island stools or dinning room chairs. Seems very nice and of good quality. I have not used it yet. It did come a little later then expected and due to that , I won't be using it soon. But I do anticipate it to be of the high quality it seems to be. If my review changes I will update it. I did purchase the inch width. I definitely wouldn't go thinner if your using it for the same purpose. If it work's as nice I am anticipating I will purchase more. ... show more

Thus was just a small square like two feet long Supposed to be 72. Had to return n set up replacement box was kinda open. N delayed getting here to Wrong size to Update. The correct one just arrived in good shape. One flaw? Not in a box just wrapped in cellophane n could easily been ruined. Anyway Now it’s correct hence the 4 stars. Still very pricey for this ... show more

Yes, I read the measurements. When it arrived the package was so small I didn’t know what it could be. The foam was super super thin. I end up needing to go and buy something different for my project. It’s pricey for the quality... I’ll put it that way!
