I bought this screen to replace an old one. This one is certainly of higher quality than the regular plastic ones. It was easy to install, even for me (assembly challenged). It is the exact size as advertised. I had to "hem" it by an inch or so but it was easy to do as shown in the instructions. The closure magnets are very strong and it screens out all of the buggies that love us here in the South. So I suppose that covers it's performance and stability. As for it's versatility, I can't honestly comment bc I got it to to be what it is: a screen "door". I highly recommend as an alternative option to installing an actual screen door bc of it's cost, ease of installation, and overall effectiveness. I hope this review is helpful! ... show more

We’ve had this product for a few weeks, and I’m so glad we got it after going back and forth about if it would actually work. It does. It keeps all the bugs out so far. It’s been a great solution for the dog getting out on his own and for having fresh air when we don’t have window screens. A couple things to note, which is why it’s not a perfect 5 stars: -Our door is magnetic, and sometimes the magnets stick to the door when they swing back to close, instead of sticking to the other side of the screen. -It almost always closes correctly when the dog goes out, but it doesn’t always close correctly when the dog comes back in. We just tap the bottom of the screen with our foot. It sways and then closes correctly. Easy fix, but requires us to go over and do it. -Install was easy but fussy. The tacks worked fine, but they bend easily. We just used pliers to straighten them out. It was also hard to get the screen straight. We just made sure the most visible side looked good and the other side had a more creative install. It looks loose at the bottom, but it won’t close when nailed in tighter. I’d totally buy again. ... show more

Bought this to replace my old magnetic screen for my back door it’s working great. We leave our back door open all day for our dogs and haven’t noticed any excessive bug or other vermin in the house. I am absolutely pleased with this magnetic screen door. I am unable to put a 'doggy door' into my outside doors, but I wanted and needed something to use that would give my dogs access to the yard while I'm at work. This has worked GREAT. I attached the screen to one of my outside doors (they don't have screens). When I go to work, I just leave my door open with this screen door on it. I live in the country and like that I'm able to do this without concern of someone getting into my house! My dogs are able to go in and out as they please. the magnetic strip separates with just a gentle nudge and it closes back together once they are through the door. When I'm home, I'm able to keep the outside door open as well and have a nice breeze blowing through the house, knowing that I also won't have to put up with flying insects getting in since the screen is so tight. It was easy for me to install though I did it twice. The first time, I had the sides too far apart! This magnetic screen has served its purpose well and it's much cheaper than purchasing a new outside door or even buying a screen door. ... show more

This is a no-frills product -- no fancy packaging, simple printed instructions plus videos if needed. It was easy to install on my wood frame doorway. Great idea loved putting it up. I would have given 5 stars but the tacks for a wooden door frame were a little flimsy and they tended to bend when trying to hammer the tacks. Easy to install and love the way it looks and opens and closes easily.
