  • Best simple Voltage/Continuity tester you can buy.
Style: T+PRO Electrical Tester
I have used these for years. I have had two fail on me. One was due to physical damage and that doesn't count the other one only lasted 6 months but the manufacture replaced it for free. Simple operation, always on, no buttons to push. Touch leads to what you are testing and instantly get continuity reading or voltage. Measures down to 12v and up to 480v, no setting for AC/DC, it recognizes what type of power it is. I love these testers, I carry a real big and expensive Fluke on my van, but it only comes out when I am doing something more complicated. For 99.9% of my day to day needs this guy does the job. ... show more

  • Excellent tool for the professional with one exception
Style: T+PRO Electrical Tester
Bought this to replace my aging Fluke T2 tester. The backlit LCD voltage display is a real convenience when you don't want to go and retrieve your meter to make a measurement. The reason that I deducted a star is that it comes with TP2 test probes which are good for an electronics tech but useless for an electrician who would be the primary user of this device. TP2 test probes are round and difficult to insert into outlets whereas TP1 leads are flat and designed to be inserted into outlets. The first thing I did was purchase a pair. I guess the product manager at Fluke doesn't get out much. ... show more

  • A go-to tester for every field electrician
Style: T+ Electrical Tester
PROS: - Rugged - Consistent - Accurate - Economical CONS: - Not precise - Leads can get tangled and get caught on tools. This model tester (and the previous generation of this model) has been in my tool bag since I was a 2nd year apprentice (a long time ago.) It's durable enough to be carried around all day and abused by tools being jostled around it, yet it has never failed to detect current and and at the ranges it indicates. The only thing lacking would be more fo a precise measurement on voltage, but for that there are other more expensive/delicate testers that can do that for you when you need it. I did have problems with the leads tangling at first, but they eventually worked themselves out. A must have for any Sparky. ... show more

  • Wonderful basic meter.
Style: T+PRO Electrical Tester
I specifically wanted a low impedance tester because the triacs on the PLC output cards at work work leak like a sieve and when an output is off I still often see 114-118 volts. When I would put my co-workers solenoid tester on them they wouldn't move the needle and I decided I should get something similar. This thing will still beep and vibrate on a ghost output, but at least when I look at the screen it'll say something like 73v and I know the output is actually off. I've found that I absolutely love this thing for basic troubleshooting and LIVE-DEAD-LIVE and now my 373 just sits on my cart for when I need the amp clamp. The vibration, loud tone, and not having to mess with any switches and buttons makes this thing such a pleasure to use inside control cabinets. Going down a terminal strip to find where a circuit drops out on a series safety circuit is so damn satisfying with this thing!!! ... show more

  • Well worth the cost
Style: T+PRO Electrical Tester
I do a lot of home maintenance, replacing ceiling fans, outlets, etc. I like the ease of use of this. I especially like the way I can place one of the probes on the front of the unit while my hand controls the other. Came in real handy testing the electricity on a bathroom exhaust fan while on a ladder last weekend. I use the Flue micro scanner for Ethernet (RJ45) connectons and have always been impressed with the quality of that product. Will buy more Fluke! ... show more

  • Don’t last
Style: T+PRO Electrical Tester
I’ve had a lot of problems with these meters and probably only use them twice a month in residential applications and usually within a few years I’ve been having problems and fluke is a son of a bitch and they fight you for every receipt and then you got a run him to make sure you get a new meter out of them. There’s a tiny little serial number on a sticker that comes with this take it put it on your meter and put tape over it that’s the date code for the warranty you’ll never see it in the package but it’s a little over serial number you Gotta keep that so when it goes to pot you may have a chance of getting a new one from fluke.I was surprised if Luke was so stingy and replacing a meter at $100 or less. They should have a serial number built-in on these meters not a stupid little sticker did you have to put on it when you buy it that you were clearly miss in the packaging. ... show more

  • Last good tester
Style: T+PRO Electrical Tester
Wish more companies made this, a wiggy that does continuity testing. Bought this one because I lost my klien wiggy and they no longer make it. I hate digital testers that make you always look at the screen. These vibrating testers are the best for troubleshooting. Feel like this meter is overpriced, used to get the kliens at 55 bucks. Same took almost double price ... ... show more

  • An absolute must-have for troubleshooters!
Style: T+PRO Electrical Tester
Thia should be in evert electrician's pouch. No power button required for continuity and voltage testing. You get a beep and vibration when voltage is present, and accurate voltage reading on display; for troubleshooters, the display is a must have! The leads are replaceable which is great for those who are accident-prone. I always keep a backup ready to go in case I ever break my main.. it's used far too often to even consider going a day without it. ... show more
