  • Bought another one!!
Color: brown
More than a year ago, I bought this toy. My review from then is below. Eventually, we had to retire the first one and I got a second one. I am still amazed at all the “bad” reviews. Listen people, dogs are descended from wolves who will literally tear living prey apart to eat it: skin, muscle, bones… So if your dog is a “chewer,” then buy him chew toys. Don’t buy him stuffed animals and expect them to survive. With this toy, we play fetch, tug of war, “puppy” (don’t know what to call that game but Charlie just grooms and grooms the wabbit till it’s soaking wet). We DON’T let Charlie chew on it. When he starts chewing, we take wabbit away and give him a chew toy! He’s smart. He eventually learned not to chew. If he found himself chewing, he’d stop and go get a chew toy! Maybe your dog isn’t capable of that. No judgement. But if it isn’t then it is YOUR job to do it for them. If you aren’t doing that, and your dog chews a toy up, that is YOUR fault, not the toy manufacturer. You don’t blame Ford or Chevy when you total your car because you did something stupid. Why would you blame these guys when you let your dog chew on something that isn’t a chew toy? Didn’t know there was a difference and play toys and chew toys? Well, now you do. Chew toys are hard and durable. Play toys are soft and fluffy. They ALL go in the dogs mouth. This new one will eventually get ruined too. And I’ll replace it again with another Walter the Wabbit. It’s a great value. Toy lasts all year? Yes please. I’d buy them by the case!! Old review …. I bought Walter the Wabbit for a pup friend of mine who loves stuffed toys. He's a pointer mix, 55 pounds, and solid muscle. From a puppy, he would shred - sometimes within minutes - the standard toys you would find at the pet stores. Charlie would always feel guilty when he did. He would even come and get one of use to show us the carnage and look like he's asking you to fix it. Since we gave him this rabbit, Charlie carries it with him everywhere. When it's time to sleep, the rabbit better be there. Charlie will play hard with it. He shakes it like he's trying to snap it's neck. He runs with it. He gives it to us to play tug-of-war. And he's been doing this for the better part of 8 months now. No rips. No holes. I just wish he would let us wash it because he constantly licks it and "rabbit" could use a bath. It's like he's grooming it. But he won't put it down and if we take it, it is the worst thing in the world we could do to Charlie (according to him) and we are the worst people ever. No matter where Charlie is, Walter is right there. And if he ever does set Walter down, and gets distracted, all we have to say is "where's your rabbit?" and Charlie will stop what he's doing and go directly to there he left him. And if we've moved him in the meantime - well, let's just say we get yelled at and when we return the rabbit, we get the cold shoulder for a while. Charlie does NOT have a sense of humor about stupid monkey-people trying to hide his rabbit. Buy this thing. If your pup loves it even a tenth as much as Charlie does, it's a fantastic investment. It brings so much joy that it is worth it weight in gold. ... show more

  • Walter the rabbit is legendary in our house
Color: brown
Today I received what is probably my sixth Walter the rabbit for my lab. Back in 2020 Walter became my dog's most favorite toy. I quickly realized this was a high quality, Labrador ready stuffed toy. We usually get six to eight months out of each one. No other stuffed toy last more than a week around him. He loves it! when we go to bed he'll run around to find Walter and bring him to bed, every night. I will say the rabbit I received today seems different than the ones I've received in the past. Could it possibly be smaller and I don't feel like there's not much stuffing in it because I can feel the squeaker. Anytime my dog finds the squeaker and a stuffed toy he won't stop until he tears it out. I think Walter the rabbit lasted longer because even though he could hear it he couldn't feel it. Hopefully I'm wrong we'll see how long this one lasts. ... show more

  • This toy lasts and lasts.
Color: brown
We have a 60 pound Shepperd-Kelpie mix. He is an aggressive chewer, and he loves plush toys. But, with him they do not last a month. The products that claim to be for aggressive chewers do not hold up. Within one or two weeks we are sewing them, and they seldom last a month. This toy has lasted for months and is still in good shape. And, the dog loves these as both a "stuffy companion" and a rough-and-tough pull toy. Also they are artisticly made such that you could give them to a child as a stuffed animal. He started with a wabbit and we have added the otter and the squirrel. ... show more

  • Best-made dog toy ever
Color: brown
I use this tough, tough, cute squeaky toy to play tug with my 55-lb dog. I swing him around in the air by it, and it has lasted through multiple seasons of rain and mud and chewing. It still squeaks and my dog carries it around proudly.

  • Not destruction proof but still outranks everything else
Color: brown
The media could not be loaded. **UPDATE** the rabbit did not hold up as long as I thought. Our pit puppy managed to start a hole in the neck to pull stuffing out. Shortly after, it was in pieces. She’s also destroyed our 2 sloths. These have always held up so well with our Dal and I thought he was the destructive one. I do still think they’re worth the money for 6+ months of constant play. The cheap plush toys don’t even make it days around here. But I’m quickly learning for certain breeds, it’s just a matter of time before they destroy it. - - - My dogs are super aggressive when it comes to playing & chewing and this is the only brand they can’t destroy. We just got the rabbit today but our larger and smaller Fluff & Tuff sloths are both over a year old. Definitely worth dishing out the extra money on a toy that will hold up over time. ... show more

  • Poochie loves him
Color: brown
Our dog loves this brand of friends. I don't know what is is about this brand, but he plays very gently with them. He'll destroy other friends we've bought him. We got him the squirrel previously. He carries them around, uses them as pillows, and will hold them while he sleeps. It's actually pretty funny. He'll play the pull game with you, but he never pulls hard enough to hurt them. They're well made. I look forward to adding a few more to his clan. ... show more

  • My dog is obsessed with this toy
Color: brown
I have purchased this toy four times now. I have an 80 pd. murderess that tears it to shreds every time and carries its carcass around. It makes a huge mess, but more importantly it makes her extremely happy and we love watching her joy. It's worth the mess. Four stars because it is not impenetrable, but to be fair, we have never had a "tough" toy that she didn't destroy. ... show more
