  • Vibrant photography. So impressed
Beautiful guide for flowers. I teach watercolor and don't have access to flowers in the fall and winter. I can look at these beauties and get ideas to teach my class. It's truly a lively book.

  • Beautiful
This is a beautiful book and the flowers are sorted by color. I love that. The back cover was torn when I received it so I was a little disappointed, but it still works for what I needed.

  • Perfect for an amateur florist!
This book is exactly what I needed since starting a career in floral design and needing a solid reference book. This book has it all: floral identification, colors available, seasons best for harvest, and personally best of all the way a flower is/can be used (face, filler, gesture, ect). Another wonderful thing for this book is when a costumer (most often a bride) would like a particular flower for an arrangement we can go through the book together to pick something out which makes its organization by color perfect in these situations. My only criticism is that the book is too small in height and length, it makes the perforated section almost useless for me. I thought it would be better to have the "flashcards" for customers to browse through as they wait or chat and coworkers to keep at their stations, but the book's size has the pictures too small for identification, nice for a color swatch but that's pretty much it. Don't get me wrong though, the rest of the book's pictures are wonderfully captured, well light, and detailed to help ANYONE find the perfect flowers for them! While this isn't the book to teach you how to design it's an excellent stepping stone for those that are interested in the world of cut flowers or simply enjoy looking at them! ... show more

  • Beautiful photos
The pictures are on glossy paper. They are beautiful! Many stickers in the back of the book. I wish the book was a tad bigger. The print is so small I’m having trouble seeing it even with reading glasses. There are pages in the back for your notes. I spent hours looking thru the book yesterday. Very detailed and delightful book. I’m buying another one to gift! ... show more

  • Compact Useful Guide
Not only are the botanical names given, the common more recognizable names are also included. Beautiful photos with their true colors are a feast for anyone wanting to study flowers. Loads of inspiration in this important book. It's not a large book, but it has everything needed to understand the flower and all its details. ... show more

  • Lovely Reference book
I purchased this book to practice watercolor painting and the photographs are gorgeous with lots of very visible detail. I also love the size of the book. The authors nailed it. If you enjoy this one, there is also another book that shows flowers put together in arrangements. Wonderful for painting and flower arranging ideas. ... show more

  • Beautiful book!
The flowers are all photographed on a white background so it’s really easy to focus on the flowers and not get distracted with a busy background. I bought it for painting inspiration and the photos are all beautiful. The pages are heavy and high quality.
