Getting my tools in order to work on my daughters wedding floral bouquets & arrangements, other floral artists recommended using a glue pot instead of a glue gun. I do a lot arts, crafts & DIY projects. I use a traditional mini hot glue gun so for larger projects that require a lot more hot glue, this is ideal. What works well with this set of both the melting basin and mini glue gun is the ability to map out your flower arrangement, get all your supplies lined up and ready, heat up the glue in the dipping basin and set the glue gun up and on standby. Your workflow goes smoothly, using the dipping basin to quickly add glue to stems and place on your project whether it is a flower box arranged of a large wreath. Using the dipping basin helps to quickly glue your arranging in larger areas and then you can use the mini glue gun to secure smaller detail pieces into your creation. No more trying to get the glue gun down into a bunch of stems to add more and have the glue stringers all over the place. For a flower box I preset the foam and place holes where I am going to place bunches of stems, dip the ends of the steams in the glue basin and place into the pre placed holes. Then use the glue gun to add (for example) a small butterfly to one of the flower petals. This is a time saving set that can really help you in your crafting projects. ... show more

I have never used one of these glue pots before, but I can tell you it is a time saver. Plus, you can use both hands without having to pick up and put down a glue gun. If you are doing any kind of bulk work like flower arranging, this will make your job easier and quicker. Nice tool!
