Wow. Peel and stick planks have definitely improved over the years! These are rugged enough for my bathroom, but can but cut with standard scissors. (!!!!). I doubt they'll last forever, but should be fine for a few years. The extras I had also looked nice as a new top for some cheaper screw-together furniture I had whose tops had been damaged over time, and an awful bow window (probably 40 years ago) I've been painting for years. Perfect for fast upgrades and classy looking and easy to use. I did have a problem with them not sticking over one section of vinyl flooring but nothing else stuck, either, so I think it was something that got on the vinyl that made it unstickable, not the fault of this adhesive. First thing they are not even close to the thickness as described. Paper thin. Second they came all tightly rolled up instead of flat like other "luxury" flooring. So after attempting to unroll and flatten them out them they just look cheap and all have a ripple look to them. Undoubtedly from being paper thin and rolled up so tight. Super disappointed. I am unsure if I just received a bad batch but the ones I have do not line up properly. At first I thought it was because I was applying it wrong. These adhesive flooring planks came in a roll, rolled up in a rather tight roll. That was a bit surprising, but makes for much more compact shipping than most flooring tiles. The reason these could be shipped as a roll is because the planks are quite thin, and apparently durable. The product page claimed that the 'planks' are 0.47 inch thick; that would be a thickness of nearly half an inch. Even if you move the decimal, making the measurement .047, that is still much thicker than this flooring. Actually, the thickness is probably closer to .02 inches. While the planks do seem durable, there is no sort of cushioning on the bottom of these planks, so they will only sit properly on a truly flat floor. I tried laying them on my self-built sub-floor, which is not at all even, and any lip showed through (as an obvious raised edge in the middle of the plank). So I used one plank as scrap, and laid down multiple layers to help level out the bumps in the sub-floor. Then, the planks worked well. But again, a level floor is critical when laying these planks. The texture is nice, with raised 'grain' patterns to make the flooring look rough and aged. And the printed wood design also looks authentic. However, because the texture of the grain pattern does not at all align with the printed design, the planks look fake, but only upon close inspection. For example, knots in the printed wood design did not line up with the raised grain texture. The "Sandstone" color and design is particularly monochromatic with little variation in color, making the flooring almost look painted, with little wood grain to speak of. Darker colors may look much nicer if you're going for a natural wood grain look. I will have to see how these wear over time. I will report any new findings in a review update. ... show more
