Pros: - Works well - Really easy to assemble - I like that there are 3 different light temps Cons (none of these are big deals to me, just things I noticed): - Not a fan of the foot switch. My lamp is behind my chair and it’s kind of hard to get to. - The gold color on the shade doesn’t exactly match the stand. The stand is a darker gold with a lot of shimmer. The shade is a lighter gold. - To change the light temp, you have to press the switch on and off until you hit the color you want. I wish there was a slider or different buttons for the 3 colors. - The base is really heavy, but I wouldn’t say the stand is sturdy—not a problem for me because it’s tucked in a corner but might be an issue for others with children or pets. This is a cute lamp, the bulb is a bit dim, however, I don't need it to light up a huge area, so it works for what I need it for. I purchased the gold, and it looks great, all the pieces screw together perfectly and tightly and it's not wobbly. I got this floor lamp in satin-gold color yesterday. It is simple/modern looking. It looks much better than expected and was so easy to assemble... in less than 5 mns. All the parts came ready for connection, just needed to twist / tighten the 3 tubes all together.

I set this lamp up to provide some supplementary light in the corner of a spare bedroom, which is probably not it's best use. The lamp has four spectrum settings, which range from the antiseptic blue end to the warmer (redder) end of the spectrum. You use the lamp's pull chain to cycle through the color variations. I have it plugged into a smart plug and use that consistently to turn it on and off. However, if I used the lamp's own pull switch to turn it off and on, I can see getting annoyed because every time I turned it off I'd have to pull the chain maybe seven more times to cycle through the color variations back to the one I want. As it is, it works for me. One thing to consider is the way the bulb/shade works, it throws out light to the sides in addition to the top. This means that if you're seated across the room it's a bright source of light shining in your eyes, which can be annoying. On the other hand, throwing a lot of light over a broad area might be perfect for your needs. I can see it being really useful in a basement or working area.
