Bought this lamp in September 2023, now it is Nov 2024. I have used this lamp near every day, M-F from arrival in September through end of May 24', then started back in Aug 24'. This lamp is still as bright as it was the day I ordered it. It is very light weight and a great quality. I like that I can adjust the lower neck to whatever angle I would like. The lamp has 3 settings; Top on, Bottom on, and Both on. I have it in my office and it creates a nice warm glow. I would definitely recommend this lamp to anyone seeking something nice but simple. 10/10! ... show more

The lamp works and shines light, and the little side reading line adjusts nicely, so this is all nitpicky and overall I'm quite pleased. The switch/knob that turns it on/off feels super cheap and not at all robust. I don't think it's going to fall off, but it's incredibly underwhelming to turn it -- there's not really a clicking noise or position that makes it clear it's landed in a particular position, sometimes it's just kind of "turn it some until you get what you want and then stop and hope it stays that way". The assembly went fine, and it's not bad really, but the top part with the wire to the main bulb is quite annoying to shove back inside the tubes. When you twist them to tighten, it also twists the cord on the inside, so the cord eventually gets frustrated and tries to unscrew the poles or the top of the lamp because of all the torque. It took some doing to get it to stay. I'd recommend twisting up the top piece in the opposite direction several times before screwing it on (so when you attaching it you're actually straightening out the cord on the inside). Overall good enough lamp, body feels good and sturdy since it's metal, and most importantly it lights up the room. ... show more

This lamp looks and works just as described. I find some of the comments silly, saying it doesn’t come with lightbulbs. Clearly, both kinds are offered, so if you don’t buy the one with replaceable bulbs, well, it won’t have replaceable bulbs. I made sure to buy the one with lightbulbs, so I can replace them later when needed. The plastic shades are quite flimsy plastic, but that doesn’t make any difference on the lamps when in use and you can’t tell from the distance, unless you are actually touching them. The actual metal parts and the stand are all sturdy, and with a slim footprint, which works great for me having to squeeze it in a narrow spot between the couch and the desk. Very nice and bright light, and then I can turn the smaller lamp towards the desk or the couch as needed. I recommend it. ... show more

I’m pleased with this. I’ll go a little more in depth in the beginning but there will be a short pros and cons list at the bottom I’m pretty happy with this lamp. I bought it because my office has a horrible white hospital type light in it and I wanted a nice warm lamp to use instead. The color is very warm and homey I feel like I’m in my own living room. And everyone in the office has made comments about how they want to get a lamp like this. I love the adjustability of the reading lamp. I use it often to light up my keyboard and mouse. But if I want the room a little brighter I can point it up at the ceiling. I also love that you can have the big light, the reading light, or both on and can choose that. I don’t have a use for it but it’s nice. Now while I do think highly of this product by itself I am really mad because I found a way better and way cheaper version. See the main problem I have with this light is the fact that you can’t change out the lights so once they burn out that’s it. This lamp is done. That combined with the $50 price tag made me a little upset when I found a $15 version of this same lamp with interchangeable light bulbs. That was also brighter and just about as warm. I want to be fair to this product which is very nice but I don’t like it as much because there are better and cheaper options out there. That aside though this light, while a very nice warm color, did not fill my room up as much as I was hoping. So I ended up buying the cheaper lamp as well. My office is very small (I’d say about 12’x12’) but this lamp alone in one corner gave one third of the room a workable level of light (not ideal just workable) and left the other two thirds very very dark. It wasn’t until I added the other lamp (which I’ll mention down below) that I had an appropriate amount of visibility. Pros: - very nice warm color - reading light very adjustable - Settings on which light you want on Cons: - light doesn’t really fill up the room - really expensive compared to better versions - once the lights go out you can’t replace them and the lamp is useless Overall I’m happy with the product but disappointed In myself. If you want a lamp like this I’d recommend getting the mainstays 6’ lamp. Much cheaper and much better. I hope you found this helpful!
