First of all, the packaging that surrounded these beautiful, handmade, floating nightstands, was amazing. They were wrapped up in a firm foam, wrapping surrounded by heavy duty plastic wrapping. then there was a sturdy almost would like cardboard frame around them. It took me 20 minutes to unwrap them! And then once I got them on wrapped, they were so beautiful. It took my breath away. The wood was beautifully green and you could smell the wood finish on them. They were not as deep as I needed, and I am not sure if I’m going to use them for my original intent, but they are so beautiful that I will not send them back. These are really well-made heavy duty quality pieces. And they came from Turkey! Since I just visited Istanbul a year ago, I feel even more inclined to keep them, because the craftsmanship is so good and the people and crafts people I met in Istanbul or so absolutely beautiful. Thank you for such an outstanding product, that was packaged with so much care and thought to the environment. There was no heavy duty bubble wrap or stupid foam peanuts. This was so cheap that I thought it might be a scam or low quality. No and no. It shipped from Turkey via FedEx and got here really quickly. The product is high quality. Wood is so smooth and it's easy to mount (I used my own wall anchors but it comes with two different kinds). It looks great now that it's installed. Two notes: The finish is a little different from the photo. That's a good thing. It means it's real wood and really stained. Can't reproduce it exactly but worth noting. It had a pretty strong smell from the varnish when I opened it. I would air it out for a day before installing it in a bedroom. ... show more

I gave it three stars because it appeared unfinished because it had no lacquard. There were white spots on the stain, as shown on the photos. Overall, product is sturdy and well made.
