  • Broke after two years - REVISED - Excellent service!
Update: Messaged the seller and they quickly identified the issue, provided a photo, and I was able to fix it! Wow, nice service and product. This desk was great for 2.5 years... now it won't raise on one side. Even if I had purchased the 2-yr furniture protection plan, I'd have no coverage at this point. Disappointing. ... show more

  • Fantastic budget friendly option to get in the standing desk game!
First off if you’re even considering getting any standing desk for your work, DO IT. I haven’t sat for more than probably an hour this whole week which totaled probably 45 hours or so. It’s so much easier to be focused and stay working, my productivity has pretty much disappeared. As far as this specific desk goes, I would say it is a really great budget choice to get into the standing desk game. While it is relatively featureless compared to some electric desks, those are a lot more expensive and honestly I haven’t felt like I’ve been missing anything from it (specifically speaking of the programmed button-mapped heights some desks have). It’s super easy to put together, even by yourself, looks fantastic on its own and makes your setup look dope as well, always a plus. Being only 4 feet wide, I had to find additional shelving and space to put things like my PC on, not a big deal at all. I’d feel very nervous having EVERYTHING on the desk all the time anyhow when it moves up and down, and I kinda like the look of having different sections of surface faces. It can definitely work as a desktop workstation setup if you do find that additional surface space, but if you only had a laptop, this would be aces. It’s incredibly sturdy even close to maximum height (I use it at about 95% and I am 6’1”) and on carpet as well. Overall this thing is sick, I’m very pleased with it, and am definitely going to be sticking with it for a long time until I get a third monitor. Standing while working + gaming has been awesome, I can definitely tell the difference in how I feel at the end of the day. This desk isn’t trying to be crazy fancy or feature packed, and considering Staples has desks that are just normal and come close to this price, it does an AMAZING job for where it slots in. THE GOOD - Looks great - Incredibly study at pretty much any height - Easy to assemble - Wide enough for all the workstation necessities including two monitors. THE BAD - Cable routing holes towed the back are very small, definitely more meant for a laptop charger and a printer cable or something. Don’t expect to fit desktop power, video cables, AND mouse and keyboard cables through there. - Not super deep for gaming. I’m an arm aimer, and there’s not a ton of depth to do what I’d like but I’m picking up new legs for my riser which should solve that. - Not a whole ton of cable management going on. Would’ve liked to see at least one sleeve or cable rest, but I guess you can always get those on your own. ... show more

  • Good for the price
Overall good quality desk. Assembly was a pain, but doable. I did have to squeeze some things and drill them down tight. The holes aren't aligned as others have mentioned (especially the cross beam), but not to the extent of being unworkable. My main complaint is that there isn't a lot of cross sectional support, so the desk isn't exactly flat across the two pieces, more like a gentle slope on each side. And because the holes weren't aligned, I had to drill down to the point where pieces were bending. I am hoping it holds up over time. So far so good after a few months. ... show more

  • Looks good and serves its purpose. Up button glitchy.
Size: 55"×28" Color: Maple
I like this desk. It does the job and serves its purpose at half the cost of most standing desks. It was easy to assemble (shockingly so, I thought it would be more complicated) and I really like the way it looks and the aesthetic. Two quibbles, one minor and one a little more annoying: 1. With the two panels, there is slightly less sturdiness on the front panel and I feel like I can't fully lean on my desk. It's not a big deal though. 2. As other reviewers have mentioned, sometimes the up button stops working. When this happened for the first time, I remembered reading about it in the reviews and knew there was some kind of solution. I had to dig for it in the reviews but it worked. Repeating here for other shoppers: You have to hold the down button for at least 3 to 5 seconds (for me, after it was all the way down) and then you hear this click and it resets itself. As others mentioned, it's not a deal breaker, but is certainly annoying and something that the manufacturer should address since it's clearly a common issue and not a one-off. Tip: if like me the cables bug you (since there is no back) - I bought a basket that clamps on the desk to hold everything and it works great! ... show more

  • Nice solid desk.
Size: 40"×24" Color: Black
I bought the 40x24-inch Vici model. It's a great desk: raises and lowers nearly silently, it's stable at all heights and it's a good looking desk. I've just completed the assembly. It didn't take long; the instructions were clear and well illustrated but... the instructions had me assemble the uprights, feet, transmission bar, crossbar and the support plates. This 50-pound steel assembly has to be maneuvered to line up 8 screw holes in the underside of the desktop. I can't say this part went smoothly for me. It required lifting, pushing, torqueing and I finally had to resort to using a rubber mallet. I would suggest attaching the support plates alone and slightly loose to the desktop and then bolt the leg assembly to the support plates. Then tighten everything up. I'm not a fan of the split desktop. There's no gap between the two halves but it looks like there is because there's a small bevel along the joining edge. There's also a bit of a step between the two halves. I'll need to make a shim. The manufacturer supplies two Allen wrenches but you'll also need a Philips screwdriver and a drill. You have to drill your own holes in the desktop on either side of the seam to secure the two halves to the crossbar. Regardless, the desk survived my abuse and performs well. It's a nice, solid desk and I might be tempted to buy another. ... show more

  • There are holes missing !!
Size: 55"×28" Color: Maple
The instructions are off.. watch youtube for your own sake and holes missing. 3 holes were missing one for the button control and two to fix the bar on table.. had to open two times because of misleading instructions. Looks wise it cool. I got it for single panel. If not for that people can save money with other options where the table is made of two panels. ... show more
