For the price these worked great. Imagine the bummer of breaking or ripping out a clip. Only used two so far but well worth it. If you don’t know what you are doing watch a YouTube video on how to remove whatever you need to do. Then it’s easy and you can proceed with confidence.

    • MAGNET FELL OFF! FAULTY DESIGN OR POOR QUALITY CONTROL BY MANUFACTURER? YOU DECIDE
Bought this specifically because of the magnetized dipstick for use in my brand new Honda EU2200i. After reading some of the reviews about occasional poor machining of the threads on the dipstick and other reviews about the magnet falling off, I decided I should do a dry run before adding any fluids to the generator. Dipstick threads looked good, it screwed in nicely and seated well, so I figured one potential issue could be marked off the list. Generator sat stationary and untouched inside the house for two days with the shiny new dipstick installed until I was ready to take it outside to add fluids and start the break in process. Removed the dipstick so I could put oil in it and, lo and behold, the friggin’ magnet was missing from the end of the dipstick! Luckily I was able to fish it out using a telescoping pocket magnet so in the end no harm done to my $1100 investment. More out of curiosity (because I had no intention of keeping a faulty product regardless of the price), I was curious to see if I could re-insert the magnet into the end of the dipstick, which I did….several times, but it never felt like it seated down properly and kept falling off in my hand without any effort. Nice idea, poor quality, so it was returned and I’ve gone back to using the reliable plastic dipstick that came with the machine. UPDATE - original dipstick was replaced by Amazon, so decided to give it one more shot to see if the first faulty dipstick was just a fluke. Installed replacement dipstick and checked it after one day of use in running generator, again at 3 and 15 days, magnet was still attached. Went to change the oil two weeks later (one month after I started using replacement dipstick) and discovered that the magnet had eventually fallen off of that one too. End result is still the same, only took a little longer for the second one to also fail. Return window closed so pitching the dipstick in the garbage, but keeping the oil fill spout because that item is sort of handy for draining the oil. Just glad I kept the original dipstick that came with the generator when I bought it because that one has always worked perfectly. ... show more

This item makes changing the oil in a Honda Generator very easy without any mess. Used oil comes out without splitting and the new oil can be poured in without splitting any. But you need to be careful not to overfill.

Perfect fit for my Honda EU2200i generator, the dipstick also fits my 2024 Honda EU7000is oil fill. The drain tube works great and gets the oil discharge away from the generator housing.

Both the screw on drain pipe and the magnetic oil cap/dip stick worked fine. However, everything arrived in plastic bags, which had no padding, and the dip stick had multiple dents and scratches on it. Thinking it may be a one-off and ordered another one, which was arguably worse, with the threads dented at one point. Ended up just keeping the first one and sent the 2nd one back. With that said, it seems to be just cosmetic, and the dip stick is working fine (permanently replaced the factory oil cap/dip stick) and picked up a lot of fine metal shavings during engine break in period. Just keep in mind you may have to send it back for another one if you get a bad one, due to the zero padding these have during shipping. I can’t help but think these damages could have been avoided with a little bit more protection in the packaging. ... show more

    • Not Required, but Great to Have
In over half of the videos you look up on YouTube about Honda EU2200 generators, this item is shown equipped. There's a reason. It's practical and affordable. -Be sure to wear a glove or get a rag to unscrew the dipstick if you're changing your generator's oil quickly. It's metal and quite hot. - The funnel was surprisingly useful in pouring oil into the generator. It's tilted at an angle that would be require a second person to achieve with a normal funnel. I'm glad I bought it (two actually as I bought two Honda EU2200s). ... show more
