This is my review on the Fishing Backpack, Fishing Tackle Backpack with Rod Holders for 4 Boxes (Box Not Included) 45L Waterproof Fishing Gear, Ideal for Men and Women Tackle Box Bag (Forest Green Camo) The bag holds more than I anticipated I was able to put 7 3600 tackle trays between the bottom and the top. Only down fall is as you remove the trays from the bottom the weight of the trays on top will collapse the tackle bag. This is really not a problem because with the way it opens it is easy to put them back in. There are a lot of different size pockets making this great to put smaller tackle trays in. The rod holders are made for smaller diameter poles anything less than 1.5 inches in diameter will fit nicely I believe the rod holders were designed for telescopic fishing rods. If you put your rods in with the reels it becomes a little tight on space. I didn't notice any loose strings and all of the stitching seems to be tight. The bag over all is well constructed, and should last for years to come. Over all this is a great bag for fishing tackle, especial if you river fish and walk the rivers. This is a very nice bag and there's a good chance it would work well for you. I was looking for an upgrade to my current backpack tackle bag and this didn't quite cut it for me. Pros: - Fits 4 3600 size boxes which is just what I need - Plenty of side pockets - A pretty cool set of 8 plastic storage bags for organizing lures. These are like plastic freezer bags attached and velcro'ed to the interior (but see cons, below) - Big upper compartment (also has a con aspect for me) Cons - The dedicated pouch for pliers is too small for my pliers - The product listing identifies one pouch as the "knife storage pocket". It's not big enough for my filet knife which is pretty small. Plus I want the knife on the outside. My old bag has a perfect slot that fits and holds securely the knife in the sheath. On this product, one spot has no bottom to the stretchy loops (I think this is meant for rod storage which I don't need.) Another spot is some molle loops on the side that are too small. (See photos). - I use the upper part of the bag to store a snack, my hat, a fleece layer, some rags, sunscreen, etc. Not tackle. For this purpose I like a deep compartment that opens at the top. This bag opens in the front (see photo). - Those plastic storage bags (pictured separately) hang right down the middle of the upper compartment. That isn't where I want it, I like rigs in slash pockets on the exterior for quick access. Also I question the longevity of those bags. I'm going to give it to my friend who has nothing to compare it to. I bet he loves it and you may too! ... show more

I fish many different species of fish from fresh to saltwater. I have found using Plano style boxes suits my needs the best and then just a tackle bag that I can switch them in and out of for my target style fishing that day. This bag handles the different size boxes and miscellaneous items well. The bag is made of quality materials and I haven't experienced any issues with the zippers so far. The ziplock style packets that Velcro to the inside of the bag for plastics is a nice thought but I really don't use it. It is nice that it can be removed when not in use. The backpack style is nice to keep your hands free if you are bank fishing and hiking to the spot. Overall it is a nice bag and offers plenty of storage options to fit many different needs. ... show more

This bag is well made with nice heavy good looking materials. I used the bottom opening for my flat tackle boxes (4-3600s) and the top opening for my soft plastics splitshots and other miscellaneous items that don't fit in boxes. This is an enormous backpack. In terms of space and its functions, I was impressed as I felt like I would have no issues carrying anything and everything. The disappointing thing was that almost every zipper tag broke on me as I was trying to zip and unzip. Once the tag broke, it was extremely difficult to open or close. The lack of a decent zipper tag so you can use the storage space is why this product is rated so low. ... show more
