The Darth Vader playset is an impressive addition to any Star Wars collection. This towering playset stands at an impressive 27 inches tall and is relatively quick to assemble. The quality of the product is exceptional, and it functions as expected. Even if one does not intend to play with it, this playset serves as a remarkable display piece, making it a must-have for enthusiasts of the Star Wars saga. The playset arrives with the Vaderbot already equipped with 4 AAA batteries and set to demo mode, allowing individuals to test it out while it is still in the box. The Vaderbot itself is a substantial and intricately detailed figure, complete with a cloth cape. Its articulation, however, is somewhat limited: the neck twists about an inch in either direction, the waist rotates approximately two inches, the lightsaber arm pivots at the shoulder, and the cannon arm pivots at the elbow. The legs remain fixed and immobile. A notable feature is the chest launcher, which occasionally jams when loaded with three discs. It is advisable not to load more than three discs at a time to avoid consistent jamming. The discs, which fire about two feet, lack significant force. Similarly, the spring-loaded arm cannon fires about a foot, also with minimal force. The spring-loaded lightsaber is operated by a button on the arm, which releases the saber, lights it up, and produces appropriate sound effects. Additionally, Vaderbot’s eyes light up, and almost every movement, such as twisting the head or waist, triggers sound effects. The stormtrooper pilot on Vaderbot’s shoulder can twist either left or right. One direction activates the disc launcher, while the other produces classic Star Wars sound effects. Once the disc launcher is activated, it cannot be stopped until all three discs are fired. This toy is an unexpected delight, a 2-foot-tall Darth Vader bot that can shoot discs. Additional features include an extendable lightsaber, a disc launcher, and a ball that can be launched or dropped from Vader’s hand. A smaller diecast stormtrooper, which can be stored inside Vader when not in use, is also included. The playset is equipped with all the lights and sounds one would expect from a Fisher-Price toy. While the toy is recommended for ages 3 and up, it may be more suitable for slightly older children. This is a very tall Vader, towering over my 2 year old. It’s nicely made and comes already with batteries set on demo mode. The head, body and arms all move a little bit, but not the legs so it doesn’t know how to walk though that would’ve been awesome. Eyes light up, and makes sound effects with the movements. The disc launcher was also cool although not really necessary. It doesn’t shoot the discs too far, so at least kids cannot hurt each other from launching them. It’s pretty pricey, but then to have a giant Vader that makes sounds and light up, it’s well worth the cost. Any fan or collector will be thrilled to have this! ... show more

This Darth Vader 27" toy is a great find for any Star Wars fan! It has so many cool features, sounds, and even a disc launcher...along with a lightsaber! The breathing sounds are really cool and lifelike. This will make for hours of fun for all kids!

Another fine product that is so cheaply made that it falls apart and halfway works with the features that it has. It is not worth $150 it's worth $25 at best!
