Very lightweight, 12+1 Ball Bearings, which means a effortless experience when reeling in your lures or bait and a very smooth and even drag system. Also a nice big comfortable grip on the reel handle. Even if it only lasts one season, it would still be worth the price. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.     • Line capacity numbers are not the same

Ordered the 1000 series to fish brook trout . Reel says it is the 1000 ,but it is larger and holds 160 yds of 6 lb line. The same as the 2000. I have not used it yet, but it is much larger than I wanted.

Has worked okay. There is a rubbing sound but drag works well and casts well. Certainly not high end but sufficent to fish for crappie, perch, and small bass.
