  • No wires
I hung a tv in my kitchen. The only wire I have showing is the cord to tv. This is great.

  • dumped my cable TV plan
The cable tv company went to streaming and the costs went up. The streaming of the tv service was cumbersome and unreliable. I cancelled cable and switched to Fire Sticks. They were easy to set up, one per tv, and with Amazon Prime many apps are free. I have signed up to a few that I pay monthly, like Disney+. It has been 4 months since I switched. With a little practice I have found all my favorite CBS shows (free) and am enjoying BritBox and other shows that were not available through cable. Although I pay for a few apps, it turns out to be less than paying my cable bill. ... show more

  • Know your TV's USB power output.
This product does work. When my fire stick needs to update I get a screen warning asking me to use a wall plug power source because the USB may not have enough power. I don't........and it has always worked. I'll leave it at that.

  • Eliminates one cord
With too many cords behind my TV I was happy to find this to replace at least one of them…frees up one wall plug. TV works the same as with the extra cord I no longer need. The back of the TV is much neater without the extra cord no longer needed. Simple to attach, fits perfectly.

  • Hit and Mostly Miss
At first thinking this would seem to be a power solution for an Amazon Fire TV device. Particularly when the normal power supply and cable provided with the unit does not have a nearby or available power outlet. You should know that there is a considerable amount of USB power out variations from one TV to the next. Additionally some TVs remove power to the USB port when the TV is powered off. This means that your Amazon or any internet TV box also is powered down each time resulting in a delay before the device is available for streaming. You will also see (on your TV screen) the statement that the device is not supported by Amazon Fire TV. Trying these cords with the 4K Amazon Firesticks on a Sony big screen caused me a number of problems. Periodic reboots of the device for no reason, longer than normal delays in startup, and other operational issues caused me to remove this cord and return to the direct power connector. In my opinion, stick with the direct power unit that came with the device and save yourself some money. Too inconsistent and variable for use. ... show more
