Not the best keybed action, but very serviceable none the less. The biggest reason for the 1 star demotion, is the sustain pedal. It would be better if it didn't use a TRS type pedal. If the pedal was TS then you could probably use an adapter and use a standard piano style sustain pedal rather than the useable, but non standard sustain pedal it comes with. Otherwise it plays nice with most iPad/iPhone apps (occasionally there's an app that doesn't see the device as a midi keyboard option, but it's a rare exception.) I bought this keyboard for when I travel abroad for more than a week and want to keep playing. I had purchased another that had worse action than this one. Overall, this is nice little keyboard that has adequate action, some decent sounds, and definitely is worth the price and trouble of packing to make my travel more interesting and pleasant. The main weird feature with all of these travel keyboards is that the keys are springy. I have no idea why. But this one was less springy and fairly responsive to touch -- semi-weighted keys, yes, but also the strike to sound fidelity was about as good as you could expect for a foldable traveling keyboard. In other words, this is a good purchase if you travel for chunks of time and really need/want to keep up your playing or practicing. I have not yet tried it in a gig situation -- but there is a headphone jack that you can use a cable to link to a portable speaker or even convert to a 1/4 inch plug for a PA, conceivably. ... show more

Although this makes a nice keyboard for a beginner, I don’t care for the sound. It sounds a bit cheap. And being a beginner to playing, it is hard to switch from a full sized keyboard on my upright, to this smaller size. I bought it for camping so I can always practice, but just don’t care for it to much. Am looking for a foldable that has better sound and function of keys. Again, it’s not bad for a beginner, the sound isn’t horrible, it’s just not great. ... show more

Pros: Easily portable and folds up nicely and stores cables and keyboard in a nice little carrying case. Cons: The sound quality is absolutely garbage. I have heard better sound quality out a five year olds Fischer Price play toy. Recommendation: Do not buy. I did not expect great sound quality from a $179 folding keyboard, but the sound quality out of this keyboard is so bad it is really unplayable. Do not make the same mistake I made in believing the reviews. Look elsewhere for a folding keyboard. Update: 3.21.23. The sellers reached out to offer me a refund, which I gladly accepted, so they do get credit for standing behind their product. ... show more

I got this for my daughter to play around on. She loves that it's white, she likes the effects, and she LOVES that it folds in half. That's arguably it's best feature, SO great for space saving and portability if you need to take it somewhere. Overall it works just fine. Great for a beginner.

This keyboard is out of tune. I use an online program for learning, and this keyboard is worthless. It will not work with any online resources or playing with any other instruments.
