Hands down one of the worst items I’ve ever had to assemble. Definitely requires two people as one step has you having to balance two awkward pieces together as you hold an Allen wrench in either side and twist together. It’s so dumb. The holes in the metal pieces were also not cut right, so I couldn’t even secure the criss cross part properly. It took three hours to do by myself. The "gold" is much more bronze-y and doesn't really sparkle or shine. It's like a flat yellow ochre color, which was kind of disappointing. The screws are that anodized, rainbow gold color, so they don't really match the "gold" brackets. However, you can't really notice once it's all assembled. Decent value. ... show more

For a cheap shelf it's manufactured well, no scratches, chips or bends and it's pretty sturdy! Ideally it's a two person job at a couple of points but an easy build. took about an hour. The color isn't a shiny bright gold, i would say a matte finish and little on the brass side.

My one gripe is that the color is really more like brass than gold like it shows in the photos.
