Description

Did you know you can find glory everywhere?Finding God at the Kitchen Sink is a collection of reflections for those seeking solace in this fallen, confusing, and disorderly world. Did you know you can find glory everywhere—in God’s creation, in His Word, in relationships, and in the details of everyday life? Maggie’s gut-honest perspective will help you see that God shows up even where we least expect Him, like in the pain and ache of life. With stories that teach us to pay attention to His Presence, to the God who is always here and is always for us, Finding God at the Kitchen Sink changes the way we see everything. Those with bruised up hearts who are plodding along, simply existing, will come away with a heaping amount of hope that there is indeed purpose in the mundane and glory in the grime. Read more

  • I love this book
I love this book. It is written by a young woman who has a way of putting into words what many of us think and feel about our ordinary everyday lives - our insecurities and even our fears in an uncertain world - and how close God really is to us if we will only take time to look for Him. The preface alone will capture your heart as Maggie relates the few short years she spent with her birth parents and the circumstances of her adoption along with her little brother. One thing is certain: each of her stories will leave you feeling encouraged and uplifted! "He will show up. He who calls Himself the Great I AM ricochets His love out through the skies and right into your everyday mundane." ~ Maggie Paulus ~ ... show more

  • Just what you need
I loved reading this and felt such a strong connection with the author. I read this after meeting her at a church camp and felt compelled to read her book. As a mother to young children, it hit home and gave me a deeper appreciation to motherhood while keeping faith to get through the endless dishes. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • This book is amazing. I have read it probably 4 times now
This book is amazing. I have read it probably 4 times now. The whole book is page after page after page of so many truths that remind me God is always there closer than a heart beat, even when life is hard. If you sincerely want God and seek Him, He's there forever with unconditional love and comfort and peace. No matter what's going on, you are wrapped in His loving arms. He's paints beauty with ashes. ... show more

  • Inspiring
Not quite what I was expecting format wise, but still a good read!

  • Thoughtful devotions
It’s often easy to think the mess of ordinary, everyday life, has little to do with worship and seeing God at work and with you. Maggie’s writings remind us how to change our perspective. Gentle reminders of what we know, but so easily forget, God is always with us.

This book was good. The author had some pretty inspiring thoughts about motherhood and every day situations. She has a positive outlook even through the tough times.
