As a non-machinist I found this tin snips to do minor cuts cleanly and easily. The metal appears to be hefty and the design well thought out.     • Bought these to cut a water hose into pieces
and boy what a struggle it was. The hose was old and very hard, not pliable. It was like trying to cut the hose with a dull pair of scissors. It finally worked but this was not the right tool because it was not sharp enough. It does work on cardboard and shingles, that's all I had to try it on so I'm not too impressed. ... show more

Have a puppy that wants same jerky treat that big dog gets. She cant chew through the jerky she was swallowing it. I have arthrits and needed something that would easily cut jerky into small pieces, and while most people won't use the snips for cutting up dog treats these do an excellent job without stressing out my hands. I can cut thin strips and snall pieces. For me a good investment. ... show more
