I installed this on my car trailer and it does everything I want it to do. I would buy this again absolutely. I wired it up so I can hook it up to the tow vehicles battery. The yellow wire doesn’t come with the winch. Remotes work awesome!

Their customer service department ROCKS - caring and very responsive. Worked hard to make everything right with me - best I've seen on Amazon - thanks! Bought this winch because it was like one I have that is not available. Must say the solenoid concept is of power transfer is good, but parts are very poorly made ... fragile control wires that break quickly and easily, certainly not what I would expect for a 4500 pound tough winch. Although the winch is well made and one of best on market, what good is it if you cannot use it because of broken controls?? Fix the control box and transformer and this will be the supreme winch to buy for sure :)

Added this to my enclosed trailer. use to have a 12 ton monster which was overkill to pull the race car into the trailer, This one is perfect and easily mounted under the tool box.

Installed this winch on a 2021 Honda Pioneer 1000 using a KFI winch mount. For this application, the KFI mount was super easy. The instructions for wiring the winch on the vehicle were PERFECT. I’m an “old man” and I’ve put many things together in my years and wrestled with missing instructions, wrong instructions, misspelled instructions, etc. It was a great experience, and the remote control keeps everything simple.

installed this with the SuperATV moutn for a 2023 RZR Trail S 1000. I didn't have to remove the tire to put the winch in. Amazingly, once I pushed it into position, it miraculously lined up perfectly with the holes (that never happens!). Instructions were mostly easy to follow but when I wired in the wireless remote receiver, I followed the instructions and my buttons were backwards. I have to swap wires. Otherwise, each post is color coded for easy of install. It also comes with a waterproof switch with plenty of cable to install wherever you want. Update: The first use, the cable snapped like a twig at first tension. Tried wrapping left over cable and it snapped again. Reached out to amazon support and they sent another one. I install the main unit (wiring already done) and the cable/hook were a bit different. Went to an OHV park and around midnight, a RZR with 37" tires got stuck in deep hole. I was the only one behind him so...time to try the winch again. I was braced for the cable to snap again, but low and behold, I put tension on it and slowly pulled the RZR out from a deep mud hole. So 3 stars due your first unit may not have quality tow rope. 2nd update: Another OHV park, another RZR with massive tires. He was so deep it took me and his winch to pull him out. The replacement unit is working fantastic! The first one must've had a bad rope installed. Very satisfied with this winch now!

The bolts are no long enough if you use the locking washer so used thread lock. The bolts should have a flange on them so you can push on the bolt when trying to start threads difficult to start bolts as it is in tight installation area. Nut that floats in casting moves to much not allowing bolt to easily thread This is not easy to install a winch to plate with all these extra issues. Not pleased with kit at all Hopefully winch works properly for a long time as I do not want to take this apart again
