I am a pest technician, and I used to use a pump backpack sprayer. But I get sick and tired of using that so I started looking around for a electric backpack sprayer, and found this. I love it. I’ve been using it for about a month and a half and it’s easily one of the best things to do my job with. The backpack is in constant daily use and I do like that the battery will last at least a week before you need to recharge it, because if I had to charge that every single day it would get rather annoying. All in all this is a great backpack sprayer. This is a little bit on the costly side but you’re really not gonna get anything better then this. it even has a back padding which is easily the most luxurious thing about this backpack sprayer. I do recommend picking this up. P.S… I see a lot of comments about how it crapped out or how doesn’t spray well after a few uses, all you gotta do is make sure it’s clean like any other backpack sprayer, if you don’t clean it out it will gunk up and not spray well or at all, so please make sure it’s clean before you write comments about this product ... show more

No leaks at all! The other one I bought leaked, even after tightening the hose clamps it still leaked. The Field King was easy to set up and begin spraying! the pump is strong and quiet. I used it for pre emergent and weed killer for an area about .1 acres (minus the size of our house and driveway) and I sprayer the entire property. I like the wide metal base to allow the sprayer to stand up even when it was full, I wasn't afraid of it tipping over. The straps are very comfortable on my shoulders... I didn't need to do any adjusting for my pack, but it looks simple enough to adjust to any size person. It was also used on a 1 acre lot full of weeds less than 6" high and the battery made it through my property and 1 acre property in one charge. I'm happy with my sprayer! ... show more

I like this backpack sprayer. I especially like not having to pump it up to spray the liquid. In my case it gets too heavy if I fill it up full, so I fill it about 1/2 with the liquid. I stand the sprayer on the pickup truck tailgate, squirm into the shoulder straps, and I'm ready to go! Good battery life, hose length, spray valve, nozzle and general build quality. ... show more

Very disappointed in this product. Should have paid attention to negative reviews. I think the people who gave positive reviews problably only used it one or maybe two times. My experience is that I needed to put down approx 20 gallons to control underbrush and weed growth. After the third refill the pump sounded like it was constantly pumping and hardly any spray would come out. I tried taking it off, redoing the cap thinking it was possibly misaligned causing a leak which would cause the pump to constantly run since it couldn’t maintain pressure. I worked on it for 15 minutes and never rectified. Finally, I traipsed back to the house and dumped out 4 gallons into my “regular” hand pump backpack and finished up the last 3 fills of my work. After everything was done, I went back and tried to examine the Field King. Still would not work. Battery indicator on the backpack read a full charge with all LEDs lit. Took the filters off to make sure everything was ok and not clogged and still nothing. Also of note is that like other reviewers you can’t get the last gallon of spray out of the pack. What good is having a 4 gallon backpack when all you can spray is 3 gallons? I guess they think you just want the extra exercise of carrying around an extra gallon. Oh, and don’t forget, this makes it fun when refilling and cutting your chemicals down each time to represent 3 gallons vs. 4 or 2.5 vs. 4. Just don’t waste your time here.     • Nice sprayer but has flaws

I work for Terminix and use these things every day. This one doesn't leak out the top, an amazing feat for a battery-operated sprayer. The plastic wand and assorted nozzle parts will only last so long, but they are easily replaceable. The backpack system is nicer than many such backpacks, but has one major flaw: The nylon strap that fixes around the steel base doesn't take long to wear down and fail, weight on steel on nylon being what it is. You set the backpack on its base, after all. I fixed by stringing heavy-duty zip ties through holes I cut through the nylon of the straps. By the way the steel base is too small, making the backpack top-heavy in the extreme when close to full. The final flaw I believe is they should've used a stronger battery. This thing only has so much oomph due to the 18V battery. Yes it's convenient and reliable to use this battery system. But why not go 24V? I don't understand that. ... show more
