We have two adult mini-schnauzers and a 1 year old golden doodle. In the past we had used retractable leashes with the schnauzers and finally hit the point where we were tired of how out of control they’d get. They’d wrap around us, trees, each other, etc. now with 3 dogs we decided it was time to train all three on how to walk by our sides and we bought these to help with that. While the dogs at first didn’t like them - especially one of the schnauzer’s who was use to “leading” instead of being led - soon we found that the dogs behaved much better that alone made these worth it. But the quality of these is great and they are very easy to use. The handle is durable and very comfortable. They are also sturdy and strong leashes and our dogs quickly learned not to pull as we hooked the leash around the top of their neck right behind their ears. I love the concept, but it needs improvement. I got this leash for my fear-aggressive labrabull, so it’s important that he stay contained; however, the small leather part which is supposed to hold the leash in place immediately starts to slide because it’s too loose and has been from Day 1. I probably could have sent it back, I don’t know, but it’s a hassle due to me having to drive to a facility that’s always closed when I get there. The leash is thick and very nice from that aspect. The handle is sturdy. My issue was the leather stopper sliding down and having to constantly adjust it on the walks after a few pulls and correcting the unwanted behavior. learnt that from youtube channel, lead my german shepherd dog with this leash will make him less aggressive and has more control on his direction. it will tighten up if he is running away from me and it will make him stop:) one problem though: my dog chew the outter layer off within a week of use, recommend seller to wrap it with more durable material. ... show more

Leash arrived and I was surprised at how heavy duty it was. Very nice color and the adjustable neck was great for securing my dog. Adjustment keeps dog secure but has stop so that he doesn't get choked. Thumbs up!
