I know the price range varies greatly and chose this one after the reviews and (price). It assembles fairly easily, like Ikea furniture. I suggest a helping hand to assemble it as it is heavy. The desk height adjusts easily and is very quiet. I'm not sold on the utility of the draws yet but they seemed like a good item to store basic items. Without the casters, it's the height of my previous desk so that was easy to get used to. You have the option to use casters or the adjustable pads on the bottom of the legs. I put 2 monitors and the laptop on the elevated platform so it has plenty of space. Note I did buy the 48" version. Being able to stand and work for part of the day is a great back saver so worth the investment. ... show more

I assembled this by myself. It took me roughly 1.5 hours to complete. Towards the end, it was challenging to lift and move around and it would be easier with a second person. I purchased this desk in April 2021 and am writing my first review in November 2021 after one problem**, that was resolved by the seller--read on. Short answer: For the price paid the quality is great and as expected, and the service I received from the seller when there was a problem was outstanding. I give 4 stars because one component did fail and because the hardware is drilled straight into the manufactured wood, vs. anchoring in metal hardware, which can shorten the life of this type of construction. Do expect 1-2 hours for assembly, depending on your assembly prowess. ;) Look/feel: Overall good quality, feels sturdy, and look based on the investment. It's manufactured wood (press board?) with a covering laminate. I selected "Rustic Brown." It's a nice finish, a nice rendering of real wood look. The monitor platform easily fits a 23.8" monitor and 14" monitor--see photo. The faux leather drawers are good quality with lots of storage space--see photo. I was glad I purchased the wider option for more desktop space. I am 6' 2" and the desk raises to an appropriate height taller people. Assembly: I enjoy the self-assemble adventures, crazy, right? But just to say from that perspective, this one was a bit more involved, but not a total mind-bender. The instructions included were good, very helpful and understandable. Sturdiness will likely be impacted by assembly so follow instructions closely. RECOMMENDATION: have two people for at least the end of this assembly, because the hardware goes straight into the manufactured wood and for final flip from top down to top up (how assembly is suggested). Two people carefully flipping it onto its feet will prevent torque on the hardware / "wood." Electronics**: The controller and cables are easy to set up. The problem I had was the controller, that enables lowering and raising the desk, started failing in September, after five months, and then stopped working entirely in October. I reached out to the seller and was sent a friendly note within 24 hours. As requested, I sent a video showing the how the desk was failing, received a friendly response with clear expectations on replacement delivery. No costs, no questions asked. The replacement piece arrived by FedEx faster than expected, maybe about a week. All support was by email and the associate, Shannbo, was very friendly, responsive, and understanding. ... show more

I was very pleased with this desk. I would definitely buy another when I need one. 1. Packaging: The packaging was perfect, nothing just lose in the box, everything tucked into a proper cubby, so when lifting the product nothing shifts inside making it unbalanced and hard to move. Everything was well protected within with thin foam, etc to keep packaging small and protect the product with in. 2. Manual/information: The instruction book is a real book, heavy duty, thick pages, water resistant coating, flat, easy to use with plenty of information on the product and hardware within the box. It even told you the exact size of each screws, so in the future if you need to replace one you can simply go down to the hardware store and pick up a replacement. This is a first where the size of the screws are even mentioned. 3. Quality: Very impressed with the quality of this desk. Holes were nicely cut in the wood areas, even beveled at the top to counter sink the screw heads for a nice flush install. And while most product now a day isn't anything other than compressed wood, this is a compressed wood chip design, just like the ones they use in building homes. Very different. You get used to the IKEA style compressed wood in everything now a days, but this is a far superior product than that. While looking at it, it doesn't look like sawdust glues together, it looks and smells like real wood. 4. Spare parts: Every different package that had parts for this table came with a spare. Regardless of which step you are on, if you dropped a screw and lost it, there would be a spare for you to use. And if you lost two, the instruction book has the information and you can easily go down to the hardware store and pick-up another one. 5. Build time: Went fairly fast, the instruction book is easy to follow. Took about 45 minutes to put together once it was unwrapped and all the parts put in the separated piles needed to build. Figure about an hour and 15 total to unpack, build, and move into place. 6: Tools required: No worries, this thing comes with everything you need to put it together. You don't need to go out into the garage to grab tools. Your own tools will be better, but not needed. Overall very, very happy with this desk. Good quality, well built desk.
