    • Works great but…..
The tire machine makes mounting and dismounting tires much easier than using tire spoons. That said, there are 2 concerns I must share. First, it came with a parts list that referred you to the instruction manual to learn how to operate it. There was no instruction manual in the box. Since I am a retired auto shop teacher it was no real problem for me but someone who has not mounted tires before may have a real problem. Second, when I tightened the sleeve to hold the wheel down on my third tire, the nut in the base broke loose and lifted out of its mount with the sleeve. I removed that nut and reinstalled it into its proper place and welded it in. The nut is originally spot welded in place with 2 small spot welds, a weak point for sure. Limit how much you tighten the hold down sleeve! The bead breaker functions well and the removal tool is OK, I will probably polish the tips to reduce drag on the rim edge and tire. Always use a soap solution to make things much easier, just in case you don’t get instruction sheet with yours. ... show more

    • It's The Small Details - Updated
Received with hardware floating around in box and missing all the lock washers. Not a big deal as I had extra in my shop. But if you can't get the small details right, how can I trust the quality of the welds etc.? In fairness, I haven't used it yet and it does appear sturdy and I have inspected all the welds which appear adequate. I'll update this review or post a new one after I put it to use. I'm sure someone will diss the one star for something so minor and wring their hands in perplexity. Tough. In my experience only a harsh rating seems to get attention and results. And OEM, if you have your blinders off, you'll see I'm actually trying to help. Positive customer perception brings repeat and new business. Missing hardware is not a positive perception. Update 4/20/2024 - I'm keeping my promise to update. I've added 3 stars to reflect performance now that I've used it. Have no real issues with it at all and it was decent to use. A little bit of a learning curve to get the correct angle of the bead breaker adjusted right but that was it. Docked one star for the missing hardware that I noted above. Highly recommend a permanent mounting for ease of use (I bolted mine to garage floor-there are Youtube how-to videos). Happy with the purchase overall. ... show more

If I could give this product a zero star rating I would. This company claims this tire machine removes 18” wheel. When trying to mount a 17” tire the center locking piece broke. At the time there were no reviews!
