I tried many, many adapters and hose sets over the years b/c I felt Festool was overpriced. I have 2 Fein vacs (and a separate dust collector). The Fein vacs have been outstanding in performance & durability. But as I've added some Festool tools (track saw, both Domino cutters, sanders...) I was constantly struggling with making the vac connection. It was always bulky, too easily snagging, coming apart.... then I bought this hose and LIFE IS GOOD! Seriously, the big end plugs right into my Fein vacs and the tool end snugs right onto whichever Festool tool I'm using. It's still a bit of hit or miss with all my other tools (PC ROSs, Bosch ROS, Bosch portable planer, Makita ROS etc). But the Festool hose BY FAR fits more tools than any other hose set I've tried. And the hose quality is first class. I still think it is wring for manufacturers to upcharge for vac connection....WE PAY A PREMIUM ALREADY FOR THEIR TOOL. But if you want less headaches connecting your vac....get this hose. ... show more
