  • High Quality and Sounds Great!
This was my first ukulele so I don't have too much to compare it with but I am super loving this Uke. I can understand what others were saying about it having a bit less resonance because of the slim body but that doesn't stop it all from sounding great. The overall feel of the build is just high quality from the built-in tuner to the fretboard. Sound especially wonderful through an amp with a little chorus/delay. Very happy with this instrument and would recommend it! ... show more

  • Fantastic Fender Ukulele
It is a really fantastic instrument. I am very happy with this ukulele and the Fender electronics on it are truly updated and they are great. It is a 5 star ukulele. The thinner bdy width is a great touch. This Ukulele stays in tune. Only praise for the Fender Dhani Harrison Ukulele.

  • A Work Of Art!
This is the most beautiful instrument I have ever played! I absolutely love the color and vintage Stratocaster headstock. My only complaints are that it’s not very loud when you play it acoustically. I know that’s why it has a pickup, but I like playing acoustic without an amp. My second complaint is that I can’t find a hard case for it. I might have to get one custom made for it which might cost me more than the ukulele. This is a TENOR ukulele and it comes with very good set of Aquila Nylgut strings. I added a Low G string and it sounds amazing. ... show more

  • Great, but not if it will be your one and only uke.
I am very happy with this purchase. This review will compare it to my acoustic Cordoba 28C concert size non-plug in uke that costs about $200 that I love and have been using for about a year. The Fender Harrison uke is about $100 more. The sound unplugged is pleasant, but not great, but so much better when plugged in. My Cordoba unplugged projects more sound and has a richer tone. The Fender has 2 nobs – one for volume and the other for tone which work great. The onboard tuner is very responsive (much better than my Martin guitar onboard). You almost don’t need a Snark. The case is decent with a good size pocket for a fold up uke stand and other accessories. I have added 2 strap buttons and a solid brown strap. It comes with no strap buttons. For me, it is hard to play while holding a tenor sized uke and a strap is the way to go. The Fender tuners are unique looking for ukes as they are all on one side. They are very smooth to turn and the uke stays in tune very well – both much better than the Cordoba. As this is a tenor size, I find it easier to finger the left hand as compared with the concert Cordoba as the frets are wider so my fingers feel less squeezed. The chords seem easier to play especially the Bb and D chords. I love the light blue color, the yoga yantra etched in the back, and the phases of the moon on the frets. It sounds super plugged into an amp. Since it is a direct line, recording through an audio interface is a valuable feature. I would not buy this uke if it were to be my one and only, but if you are looking for what it has that other ukes do not have, you will not be disappointed. If you feel connected with George and his music, you may even feel his vibe coming through. (It seems to play While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Here Comes the Sun and Something all by itself). It is nice to have something that was created by George’s son dedicated to his dad’s love of the uke. Thanks, Dhani! ... show more

  • Love this Uke!
Every review I saw for this Ukulele here or other places were 5 stars but I still wasn't so sure. For me the price was a little steep for not seeing one in person but it's a signature model so I see where the extra money is going. My wife purchased the Fender Jazz Master for me and it was "okay" but it felt small and she didn't like it because it really didn't match the décor in my office/music space. So she returned it and we found this one. Looks great, and has the classic Fender design. Only issue, which is not really because it was an easy fix is doesn't have strap buttons. I added the buttons and changed out the High G string for Low G and the sound is wonderful! I now have 7 Ukes from soprano to tenor and this is my favorite. If you can spend the extra money this is definitely worth it!! ... show more

  • Beautiful and great sound
If you could only have one ukulele this would be the one to have. The design is very appealing and the option of connecting to a small portable amplifier opens up more possibles.
