  • The best of all time.
Color: Matte Black
Best coffee grinder money can buy. Don’t waste your time with any other mid tier coffee grinder. The quality is unmatched and performs on a higher level than most. Extremely quiet thankfully, perfect for apartment living. Design is beautiful. Feels like I got a $600 grinder for a steal with how low priced fellow has it set at. Parts all come out for cleaning (don’t use water for the burr, just a brush.) ... show more

  • Best grinder on the market
Color: Matte Black
This thing is a BEAST! It can handle all kinds of coffee beans and grind them at levels of fineness you just can't get out of most grinders. It also looks amazing in your kitchen and has many different options for grinding lots of beans or just a single shot of espresso to make things easy to use. If you're serious about coffee and on the fence on this grinder because of its high price point, I would say this purchase is justified unlike many other higher priced tools and accessories in the coffee world. ... show more

  • A nice machine.
Color: Matte Black
The machine itself is a great and well functioning machine, able to grind quickly and efficiently. Some good things. 1. It's anti-static function works as intended, so don't worry about static build up! 2. The cup has a magnet in it so it snaps perfectly under the grinder! 3. Nice and quiet! Not like crickets quiet but very quiet for a grinder! However is has some flaws. 1. Leftover grounds can constantly get stuck in the grinder and slowly fall out over time making a small mess if the catch cup isn't under where grounds come out. 2. Under the chute lid, the little grind size guide isn't very accurate. I tried the espresso grind 1 - 2 and it would NEVER work with my espresso maker. (Use 4 - 5 for espresso) 3. The dial that you use to adjust grind size is pretty stiff and it feels like I'm going to break it trying to move it. 4. The button to turn it on is a bit iffy. Sometimes you have to press it once, then wait a second then press it again to turn it on for 30 Seconds. Overall, a nice grinder with some drawbacks. (The stuff on top of it does not come with it, it's from my espresso maker!) ... show more

  • Best grinder I’ve tried
Color: Matte White
I had the Baratza Encore before this which I was very happy with, but this is even better: Pros: - Prettier on the counter! - quieter - wayyyy less mess - easier to measure quantity; i love the measuring on the inside of the lid and also - the reference there of what the different grind numbers are meant for! Super handy as I switch from Aeropress to cold brew methods and I would forget which numbers I needed to switch back and forth from - container is able to hold enough grounds for a cold press! Which is about 85g - grind auto shut off so you can walk away Cons: - you can’t pour your entire bag of beans into top hamper as i liked doing with the other grinder - if you accidentally bump the grinder while the collector cup isn’t there, grinds spill out. It’s really easy to bump the body a bit while putting the cup back in and get grinds everywhere, and once they are out there it’s just a tad harder and more annoying to clean because they get stuck more easily in all the little nooks and crevices of the texture this design has. - it’s a little quirky as there are two built in unrelated measuring mechanisms: the lid helps you measure out servings in grams, but the grinding happens in 30 second increments (you choose either 30 second grind, 60 seconds, 90, or 2 minutes). 20g coffee takes less than 30 seconds to grind, but 40g of coffee takes more than 30 seconds, but less than 60 seconds. So, the grind timing just doesn’t make sense, and this part feels a bit overengineered. I have stopped measuring with grams and just use whatever comes out after 30 seconds. Would be more ideal if the machine would turn off automatically after detecting no more beans in the hopper. That way you’d just measure what you need by weight/volume and not have to play the “how long do i need to grind for?” game Still think it’s the best out there for its price point! It solves/improves on the biggest downsides of grinders which, to me, are looks, loudness, and mess. Nothing more frustrating when you wake up groggy and needing coffee than worrying about waking someone up and then dealing with a mess on your counter. I have not used this for espresso. ... show more

  • Turned to Crap After a Few Weeks / Impossible to Clean
Color: Matte Black
This worked great for a few weeks. Sure the hopper is small, and the 30 second timer takes some getting used to, but it ground consistent and it is quiet. It looks cool too. THEN, it started retaining coffee. At first it was a little bit. And even though it was a little bit, that little bit would wait until the bottom cup was removed to drop out of the machine. No amount of pumping, shaking or tapping can get that coffee out. It simply waits until the most inopportune moment and just falls out in a neat little pile, as soon as there’s nothing underneath to catch it. It was practically mocking me. This little pile of retained coffee started getting larger and larger and starts to spread further and further on my countertop. Time to clean. The design makes it IMPOSSIBLE to clean. I had to stick a toothpick up the coffee shoot and wiggle all the coffee out. And oh boy, there’s a lot of coffee stuck in there. Theres no way to tell how much coffee this thing retains because it’s impossible to see up the coffee shoot. But it retains a lot! I could brew a whole pot with the coffee that was stuck in this grinder. Eventually, no matter how meticulously I clean, after a few grinds, absolutely nothing comes out and I have to awkwardly wiggle out a pot’s worth of coffee with a toothpick. Literally after a few grinds, the dose gets too small to use. Within a week, barely any coffee comes out when it’s supposed to, and my counter becomes covered in a thin layer of coffee grounds. I wish this thing worked as well as it did when I first got it. For the price, the performance was great, until it became completely useless. I’m glad I kept the box. I’m returning it. ... show more
