These shoes fit well, look nice, and are comfortable. However they are NOT a running shoe not a long hiking shoe. I would not expect that for $39.00 either. As a test, I walked about two miles in these shoes on a paved path. My lower back hurt for days afterward, and I have never had back problems. So if you want a nice looking, well fitting pair of shoes for short walks, maybe boat shoes, they're great. Just don't walk too far or run in them. ... show more

I’m very happy with the shoe, my only complaint, and it’s a very tiny one is they’re not really “step in” unless you were to completely loosen the laces all the way… otherwise, you do have to tug them on a bit….but there is a loop on the heel and it’s not a big deal.

I bought a pair of these in the green and loved them. They fit well and were comfortable. So I bought a pair in black, those were no where near the same size. They squeeze my feet and are all around about a half inch narrower than my first pair. I have also had the green ones for a while now and went them about once a month. They are not holding up great and the soles are starting to come unglued in spots. So these are certainly not the worst but I feel like size, fit, finish and quality my be a luck of the draw. ... show more

I LOVE everything about this shoe, except when they first come they are a little tight, and I swear I heard a bit of a tearing sound as i wedged my foot into the hole. Now that I've worn it a full day, my foot goes in and out easier. Also I realized that the laces, even though they "look decorative" actually do a little bit, so loosen the laces before putting your foot in the first time. Hope that helps. ... show more

I was hoping that I could slip these shoes on while they were on the floor = no bending over. I am 74 and, I was hoping for an easy slip on shoe. The shoes do fit very nice and, are comfortable. They don't slip off while walking for working in them; which is nice. I have to use the loop in the back of the shoe to put them on and, they do slip on very nice - pulling on the loop.
