  • Not perfect but.
One of the three had a little spot where a sliver was sticking up, so I had to use my bench grinder to clean it up before I ended up getting cut. After that these work fine, removing the tire was relatively easy, and along with using three vice grips, on the rim edge to keep the tire in position, I was able to stretch the tire enough to get it back on the rim. ... show more

  • Great tool to replace motorcyle tires at home.
This is a great must have tool if you plan to replace a few motorcycle tires at home without investing in a tire machine or if you don’t have the space for a machine. This tool is for people who already know how to replace tires (bikes) and just need a tool thin enough to get in the groove between the tire and rim, long enough to provide leverage, with the right curve at the tip to pry the lip of the tire over the rim. Unless you have experience and do the job correctly, you will use too much force and the tool may bend or break as others have stated. Unless you use plastic rim protectors (cost less than $15), you will scratch your aluminum rims as some have stated. Keep in mind these three things. 1, you will need a bead breaker of some kind or you will not be able separate the tire bead from the rim. 2, you will need a way to support the rim WITHOUT damaging the brake rotor or scratch the rim when the rim is on the ground, applying force to pry the tire off. 3, you will need rim protectors, if you don’t, you will scratch or damage the rim with the metal bars, you can also use plastic of some kind, like plastic from a jug of water, motor oil, etc. Even with all these tools and information, it will take you a while to replace your first tire successfully. Every tire after that will be easier, taking less time and effort. It was for me. I recommend this tool to those who are mechanically inclined, willing to take the time to learn and understand the process, don’t get frustrated and use excessive force and plan on replacing more than 1 or 2 tires. ... show more
