    • This thing is HEAVY!
Play attention to where it says two man lift. They are not joking! I have installed sinks just like this before, one in the last two or three houses I’ve lived in, so I know what to expect there. This sink is extraordinarily heavy and feels like it’s heavier than the other sinks I’ve installed before. Do not attempt to install on your own. Due to the weight, the box arrived slightly damaged the back and sides were torn, and the tape had obviously been worn off in spots. Much to my surprise there was absolutely no damage to the sink. There is ample padding to prevent any damage to the Ceramic. Well done there! Installation instructions are included as well as a basic drain. If you’re going to install something like a garbage disposal, there’s even notes for that in the instructions. It is all pretty straightforward. Just like other sinks I’ve installed this one requires that the plumbing and downspout come through the countertop. This is nothing unusual and I have done that sort of work before. Even though I have not installed this sink yet, I feel very confident in saying that installation should be very straightforward. Be sure to add bracing underneath to handle the weight. The quality is amazing for the price point. If you're on a budget like me, this is a steal because these sinks can run into the thousands depending on where you buy it. So you can have the look without the price tag. The drain is center mounted and the sink bottom slopes inward slightly to prevent pooling and proper drainage. I haven’t installed this yet, but it was order to be used as a veggie wash station in our you-pick produce barn. I needed a big, deep sink for customers to hose off various veggies- including some hearty pumpkins. Thus sink is far more attractive and easier to clean than a typical laundry tub. I’ll start off by saying it’s well packaged. I was really worried that it would be damaged in transit. Nope! Everything is well wrapped and secured. The porcelain is HEAVY. It’s a nice quality and looks very clean and crisp. I really like the cutting board and base grate. Rough cast iron can scratch porcelain and that little grate does a great job of protecting the bottom. I’ll update with a photo when the butcher block cures.
