I bought a middle of the line big&tall desk chair through Walmart a few years ago. It was never very comfortable as the seat was tilted too far forward with no way to adjust, and when I ordered this the arms were falling off with the tightening nut stripped. This is just slightly more expensive than that chair but is VASTLY more comfortable and adjustable, and seems at least a slightly better build quality. Can never tell how something like this used daily for 8-12 hours use will stand up over time, but so far I'm very satisfied. Kudos to FantasyLab (and the actual makers as I realize FantasyLab was just a spec and rebrand company, but they did a good job picking a maker and specing out this chair). ... show more

I am 6'1" and close to 400lbs and most office chairs are not designed to handle somone of my size. I'm a software developer so I am in my chair in my home office for 8-10 hours a day. I have had this chair for a couple of weeks so far and my first impressions are that this thing is STURDY. Very comfortable and I like how adjustable the backrest is. Nitpicking is that the arm rests are not adjustable on their own, they only move with the backrest, but thats not a dealbreaker for me.     • Really disappointed in this chair!

This is my second FantasyLab chair. I bought one about 3 and a half years ago and it was great! The only reason I replaced it was due to the strut leaking and bottoming out. This new chair is FAR INFERIOR to my old one. First and foremost, the chair pad is so hard. For someone who works from home, I could put in 10-14 hour days in my old chair without issue. With this chair, I have had to add a blanket to provide extra padding which is ridiculous! Second, my old chair could rock which was great! You could also tilt with a secondary handle. With this one, there's no longer a rocker, you have to adjust the angle and that's the extent of what you can do. The armrests in the old one were able to be adjusted up and down as well as forward and back. These are attached and cannot move (this is due to the tilt that I mentioned earlier). This one does have a leg rest, but it's pretty narrow and also pretty flimsy so it feels like it could bend/break pretty easily. The headrest is the same as in the prior one, no complaints. Lastly, the lumbar support in the old one was great, in this one, it's about 1/3 the size of the old one and feels really weak. Overall, I wouldn't buy this chair again and honestly, I may just return it... ... show more
