    • Worth every cent!
This scope being in the budget range is a steal. If you’re looking at getting a magnifier for your red dot these 1-4 lpvo’s are the way to go. These are perfect for home defense and keeping rodents out of your yard. I started switching over from dedicated red dots to these last year when my eyesight really started getting bad, I own a G3 monstrum and a Primary SLx both cost roughly $100 more than this and are very popular in the “budget” realm. This scope holds its own when I compared all three this weekend. What I like, First off this thing is ready to go out of the box, rings are included and a set of box bubble levels come with it. This was a nice touch because entry level usually means first time users and having to buy those little levels may not be expensive it just adds time and most people would probably try and “eyeball” it. This seems to be a very solid scope, these are pop up turrets that are tight and lock solid. They are quite but still very tactile, being able to rest zero is nice as well. The glass is very good out to the 200yd range I used it at, it was actually more clear than the G3 and on par with the SLx After a few hundred rounds of .556 and 300blk out of 12.5 barrels it held zero fine. The reticle is very pronounced during the day even my bad eyes had no issues picking it up. Eye relief at 1x is pretty darn good, much better’s than the other 2 I have. At 4x it’s not as forgiving as the SLx but better than the G3. Illumination is fantastic on this thing, it’s way better than both of my other scopes. The G3 is illumination is almost useless during the day. What I don’t like, At $125 it’s hard to find anything wrong with this scope that you wouldn’t expect out of a sub$300 LPVO but there are a few things. The throw handle is annoying, just make that knurled piece a little bigger. You have to turn the illumination all the way off, I like the off feature between settings but this was probably sacrificed to keep costs down. Probably a good choice there. No green option, I personally don’t care what color but options are nice. No stickers! You’ve got the coolest name and a cool logo get some stickers in the box. Shooters are like car guys and we love stickers. Who doesn’t love stickers. I am definitely grabbing another one for my carbine and giving my G3 to my daughter who likes the green option. ... show more

of all, let me say that this is really good glass for the price point. It is NOT Vortex, Leupold, nor any other high quality/high priced glass and you need to understand this. At $100, I doubt that there is anything on the market that will touch this! Important to remember. To all of the reviewers that complained that the turrets were "stuck" or "extremely hard to turn": Have you ever even owned an optic before? The turrets are extremely easy to operate if you have even a modicum of knowledge of firearms or sighting systems. You have to pull out on the turret until it clicks, make your adjustments on the turret, and then push it back down to lock the adjustment you just made into place. If you can't turn it, you didn't unlock it! Plain and simple! Sighted in with a 37 yard zero, I was able to make the adjustments to easily and repeatedly hit an 8" paper plate at 100 yards then again at 150 yards. The scope adjustment is in 1/2 minute clicks. Exactly what I would expect for a battle optic. Can you run this out to 400 yards? Well, can you see through a 4x optical sight clear enough to shoot out to 400 yards? If the answer to question two is yes, then so is the answer to question one but, realistically, that is not what a LPVO sight is made for. It has plenty of FOV at 1x and a decent amount at 4x. I used it to replace holographic sight and my iron sights on my range and PP ar15 type weapon. 400 yard shots are reserved for a different type of weapon system, not one built on an AR platform. My biggest complaint is that the lighted reticle is MilDot instead of MilLine. The latter would have made it a less cluttered BUT I knew what I was getting when I ordered it, so..... As far as the MDR goes, it is fully functional with the power off as well as on low power settings. Anything past about 8 and it starts blurring together but, once again, I knew what I was getting so I cannot mark the review down for that. The cantilever mount is a good one! To 7/16" nuts would have been better than the Allen head screws but, alas, it is what it is. In short, would I use this for a duty weapon? Nah, probably not, but it is a great little scope for my range/personal protection system. If that is what you are looking for, don't even hesitate for a second! ... show more

    • Awsome quality for the price. My favorite plinker scope.
I have this scope on my ruger 10/22 and I love it. I did end up not using the included mount, and got a set of Vortex low mount qd rings. Simply because the mount height was a little higher than my preference. Optical quality is great for a scope in this price range, I would easily compare it evenly with the quality of my Vortex crossfire scopes, possibly a little higher. Accuracy is also right on point with several higher end scopes I've had. There is no change in zero with change in magnification like cheaper scopes I've had. And ive transported, and bumped the scope a few times, zero is still spot on. I definitely recommend this scope for anyone wanting to set up a mid range rifle where quick target acquisition, and durability are the main focus. I use mine squirrel hunting in fairly sparse woods, typically I'm shooting within 50-75 yards, near dusk. This scope is perfect for my needs. ... show more
