Bought the EzloPlus smart hub and the video doorbell. It was super easy to set up. The doorbell is super fast, with a great picture! I also integrated my Yale lock, Ezlo indoor camera, my Honeywell thermostat and some smart lighting. I set everything up with relative ease after a short learning curve and was even able to create some automations/scenes - it was super easy to do that btw. I set my camera up in the garage so I can know when my kids are coming and going. The motion sensor sends me an alert every time there's motion. I had to change the time period when this was sending notification to evenings and nights only because I was getting too many notifications, but that was easy enough. I also set up my outside lights to only go on from sundown to sun up and to dim to 40% so that I wasn't lighting up the whole neighborhood. Also simple to do. I think next I'll have the motion sensor on my video doorbell when triggered have my porch light go to full brightness when someone comes to the door, and then go back down when the motion has been absent for 30 seconds. A great smart home hub for any newbie to set up/install. The hub is compatible with many different brand zwave devices, unlike the CPI system I had at my last place. Not to mention it is advertised to work with zigbee as well. Automation features allow me to create scenes (which will be great for when I'm out of town and want to make it look like someone is home by cutting lights on and off). Although I don't have a LCD screen, controlling everything from the app on my phone is just fine. The controller is small enough, that you won't even notice it. I added a picture of it next to my phone. EVEN better, the DIY approach will save me plenty of money. I must admit, the Ezlo Plus exceeded my expectations. I was surprised at how small the HUB was. Getting the HUB up and running and connected to the app was quick and easy. I was able to connect to several devices I already had in my RV. U-Tec Zwave Door lock, 2 GE Plugin lamp modules, Zigbee door sensors and Zigbee 4 relay module were all connected and seen in the app. Meshbot creation for lighting control was easy and very intuitive, you don't need any advanced programming skills for Automation. My wife, who is not really into the Home Automation stuff found the app very easy and intuitive also. I am looking forward to adding my IP thermostats and a water valve in the future. If you are looking to build your own smart home and your wife is a stickler for aesthetic, I’d suggest you take a look at the Ezlo Plus smart home hub. After reviewing a few solutions, we finally decided to try the Ezlo Plus. First, the wife loves the size and look so much we don’t have to keep it in a cabinet…sits right next to our Apple TV. Big pro! Second, it’s super simple to set up and the whole family has been able to easily use it, which keeps the tech complaints low.     • Easy Setup, Simple to Use.
This was very easy to setup my home system with this Ezlo hub. I haven't set up a smart system before so I had some concern that I could do this without help, but it took me less than a hour to set up the Ezlo hub with my sensors and my Kono thermostat. Great experience.

Now that its getting dark early, I wanted a way to have my lights be on for my family coming home from school and work. I added the Ezlo hub with some light switches, worked great.
