The media could not be loaded. Safety was the biggest concern while I was searching for a bedside bassinet for my g-baby. This bedside bassinet fit the profile list I made. First thing I noticed was it has a nice wide bed area. This is to keep the baby off the sides. Then also on the sides it has breathable mesh cloth which allows baby to get airflow if an accidental roll over would occur. Next is the ability to keep the bassinet from flipping over while up against my our beds. This bassinet is equipped with straps and flat disk. The straps are to be snapped in place and then pull through to the opposite side of the bed between the mattress and box springs of the adults bed and the disk plate is to be placed correctly so it’s unable to slide back through and then tighten straps. Next, is the height adjustment so it could adequately fit at right height to be secure up again it’s our beds. Them were my top features I was looking for and this bassinet met all the checks. I was pleased to find other qualities in this baby bassinet. It has the ability to stay stable or unlatched and it because a rocking bassinet. Also has ability the offset the legs to incline your baby a bit which I found helps with acid reflux. Take a look at the pictures and video to see all the safety features this bassinet has to offer. Overall: price point excellent, quality on point, picture accurate, and colors match. Pros: Easily put together, moderate weight (semi disappointed at delivery. Remake in cons.) picture matched finished product, put together in under 30 minutes, locking mechanisms work, horizontal rocking works, seamless rolling on wood and carpet, maintains level, does not tip easily, storage basket is useful beneath (no waisted space), neutral colors are in fact matching. Cleaning is easy, and not hard to remove mat. Cons: delivery box damage ( they damaged the box and made makeshift handles. Fortunately, the rain did not occur til later, otherwise material would have been damaged). requires an alternate changing location (when you need to change I’m not one for in the bassinet). Basinet storage but highly unlikely your going to tip out of bed to reach down (only useful for the swaddles, spare clothes, maybe the nappies or wipes. Not at the bend over heigh unless you over raise it. Would recommend for the bed side bassinet, walking to the other side of a home versus turning to the side to gently rock a newborn is a life saver. For the mom, its visually nice, moderate in size but as the baby grows it makes sense. For the cluster feeding baby, and the every 2 hour feeds this was useful. You can move it from room to room with ease, or maneuver from different levels of a home. I love this bassinets. My bed is pretty high off the ground and it actually reaches. I love that it’s mesh all around, and I love the convenient storage under it. The rocking feature is incredible. My two month old doesn’t even want us to rock him to sleep anymore. He would rather be swaddled and put in his bassinet and rocked that way and he’s actually falling asleep on his own ! Gave it four stars bc the mattress is typical- thin and uncomfortable and we purchased a foam mattress topper for it. Other than that, this bassinet is awesome. While I like the bassinet, it does have some flaws. For some reason, there is a hard piece of plastic sewed into the fabric walls and I don’t understand why it’s there. My daughter always gravitates toward that side and literally presses her nose up against it so I always have to move her away from it. I don’t trust that she can breathe through the plastic so I actually cut the stupid thing out so she can breathe through the mesh sides. Cutting out the plastic did not compromise the integrity of the bassinet, it still holds up and zips back into place, no problem. The manufacturers should really build the thing without the plastic, it’s just not necessary and feels like a breathing hazard. I don’t think the bassinet tilts that way since she’s slept in the middle just fine, she just seems to move that way, maybe because we’re on that side of the bassinet instead of the other side. The other thing it loses a star for is its rocking capability. It’s not a very good rocker, it mostly just kinda jostles her body to sway from side to side no matter how gently we move it, so we don’t like to use it. Otherwise, I like how easily it moves on the carpet, very smooth, I like the basket below for easy storage, and my baby sleeps well in it. My biggest issue is that stupid piece of plastic.
