I love the shoes, however do yourself a favor and put a U-shaped Super Glue Line on the front lip where the bottom rubber meats the black rubber front. I walk a lot during the day so I put a ton of miles on my shoes. I need my walking shoes to be both durable and comfortable. Nothing too uncommon. On a possibly related note, I haven't had much luck lately with buying shoes online. Because I go through shoes so quickly I have to keep the price low. So sometimes that means I sacrifice a little comfort, or more likely I have to buy something that doesn't look that good or go with any clothes I have. I also usually develop some blisters on my feet right after I start wearing new shoes. By the time the blisters heal I notice that the soles are starting to wear away or the stitching starts to come apart. And because I'm stubborn (and also on the cheap side), I wear the shoes way longer than I should. Then I came across the EYUSHIJIA Men's Outdoor Waterproof Hiking Shoes while browsing for my latest new pair. The price first caught my eye, so I decided to look more closely at them. Was my size available? Sure was. The soles looked sturdy and I like how the laces hook at the top to make it easier to put on and take off the shoes. The available colors looked decent to me but they had to pass the final test before I could buy them. I sent the link to my wife, who replied "yeah they're good." Sold! I quickly bought them and they arrived two days later. I've been wearing them just a short time but I'm happy to report that my feet are blister free. They fit snugly but allow my feet to breathe. They feel good while walking and also while standing still. I bought the black ones, but they have some gray mixed in which means I can wear them with a wider range of my clothes. I bought this pair of because the price was right. I did not expect much—after all I am a Keen user. I like the way the Eyushijia Hiking Shoe fit my foot which is obviously very important. I was very surprised beginning with the fit. Perfect. This is very unusual and I learned there was much more.. My feet run hot and get hotter when working or exercise. The shoes were cool as advertised and weighed like air.. They are waterproof too. I’ve put on about 20 miles so far and the fit is still perfect, no breaking in necessary. I am very satisfied—I do think that the top hooks are too high. It is inconvenient to futz getting the shoestrings in the hooks—if they were just a half inch lower that would solve the problem. What happens is that the shoe string has a tendency to get under the tongue. I also felt the first set of holes were a bit too low on the ankle…until I tied them loosely without going through the top hooks. This is not a good idea for walking but for us campers who want to slip on shoes just to get to the WC and back, it is almost a necessity. The shoes are perfect to slip on when tied this way. My complaint is minor and would not stop me from buying theses shoes even at double the price! ... show more

On my second pair. The good is that they are true to size (ordered size 11), comfortable out of the box, and I actually came to like the lacing system and tongue, which make it easy to slip them on before lacing up. The bad is that the laces wear out after 2-4 months, and need to be replaced. Then, after about 4-6 months of wear the waterproofing is gone. In the beginning, my feet were dry on a normal rainy day with some small amounts of excess water on the pavement. I never tried to walk through puddles. But, I was happy with the waterproofing initially. However, after about 4-6 months while on the second set of laces, the shoes no longer keep my feet dry on a normal rainy day.     • The good and the not so good

I bought two pairs of this item, the grey and the brown (in size 10). The brown pair is just what I was looking for in this type of shoe...comfortable, lightweight, and a good fit...and the pricing was great compared to the Skechers and Columbia brands that I have had previously. The grey pair...well, not so much. In comparing the 2 pairs of shoes, I found that the grey pair was as illustrated by the product photos (i.e., there is additional material on the molded external sole that covers the very front of the toes of the shoes. The brown pair does not have this additional material. This leads to the issue I have with the apparent design difference in these two pairs. The "toe box" area of the brown pair feels very good when being worn...the grey pair feels much narrower, in comparison, and visually appears somewhat "pinched" and, when being worn, there is a perceptible difference in the fit. I know that this is somewhat "knit-picking," but the fit and feel "differences" between the two pair, purchased at the same time and provided by the same vendor, have me in a quandary. I would return the grey pair...but I wouldn't want the replacement item to have the same issue as has been noted above. ... show more
