I’d been wanting to try Exuviance because I heard great things about it. However, I’m always skeptical about beauty claims because there’s a cream or serum for everything, yet very few live up to their claims. I also did want to spend a small fortune for something that may or may not be worth it. With holiday deals and rewards from my cc, I was able to get this for around $30, so I jumped on it and glad I did. After just a week of use, I noticed a difference in my skin. Not only is my skin hydrated, but it’s glowing! It also has seemed to calm any breakouts I tend to get. A little goes a long way. I have had the good fortune of trying several products from Exuviance, and have yet to be disappointed by this brand. I find their products to be extremely quality, a little pricey, but worth it. This serum is no different, and I really appreciated it, for its lightning properties, and evening my skin tone. I'm in my 40s now, and have some sun spots, as well as minor acne scarring from my youth. I was so pleased to see that, I noticed a difference in my skin tone, achieving a more even look, and lightening my blemishes. The serum itself is quite thick in viscosity, which I appreciate, so it doesn't run down my face the split second that I apply it. You'll certainly have a nice glowy skin after that, so if that's a look that you like to achieve, you'll have no trouble maintaining that all day glow using this serum. I personally apply it at night after my shower, and before bed, as part of my skin care routine. I actually have some patches of dry skin around my chin area, that from time to time have a tendency to flake. I really liked that this serum added to the hydration of that area, and when I used it, I had no flaking issues at all. This is a nice serum that goes on well, absorbs easily and feels good on your skin. It will adapt well in a multi-step skincare routine but won't wear easily under heavy foundation/makeup unless you give it enough time in the morning to absorb fully. You MUST wear a sunscreen with this product though or you will burn. Exuvience used to sell this as Vespera Bionic serum by the way, so if you were looking for a "replacement" this is essentially the same product. Nice pretty bottle. I don't feel that it does a good job lightening up uneven skin tone but it does calm down redness/blotchy from wintertime skin blues, which is the season I've been testing it in. It does a good job improving texture over time, but most good serums that moisturize will do this with regular use. It's on the more gentle side as far as ingredients go. It does contain perfume, so beware if you are hypersensitive to fragrance ingredients. Is it worth the steep price tag? If you are looking for a more gentle product for sensitive skin, I am not sure I would splash out on this because it does contain perfume and there are more effective products out there that are not fragranced. If you like Exuvience, it's definitely a good product in the line-up and a simple, soothing serum. This serum is great for evening out skin and texture. This has really helped with diminishing acne scars and dark spots. I've struggled with adult acne and the blemishes left behind and this has really lightened my skin on my cheeks so I don't have to constantly use foundation to cover up. This EXUVIANCE Radiance serum comes in a emerald green glass bottle, but the serum itself is the color of champagne. It has a liquid, lightweight texture, and leaves a shiny or dewy finish. The pump dispenser works well and comes with a cap for hygiene. The ingredients contain a combination of actives: Gluconolactone (PHA) Lactobionic Acid (PHA) Mandelic Acid (AHA) Retinyl palmitate (combo of pure vitamin A, i.e. an AHA and the fatty acid palmitic acid) Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (a relatively stable form of vitamin C) The AHAs and PHAs both exfoliate and produce a more even skin tone and texture, but heads up that the AHAs can cause photosensitivity, i.e. enhanced sensitivity to UV light so this serum must be used in combination with daily use of sunscreen. Vitamin C is an antioxidant and brightens skin. It has a floral fragrance that is light and fresh, not musky or lingering. While it smells nice, fragrance can be irritating to sensitive skin. It's made in the USA. The full list of ingredients is printed on the outer box, but not the bottle.
