This carrier is taller than most I had seen. It looks durable and easy to store, collapsible. Only complaint was there were no instructions for assembly. With a little trial and error I figured it out. Would have been nice to know how to install the rods for stability.

I have two large cats and we typically use a small dog crate for roads trips. But this was perfect for a trip to the vet. Sturdy and held my 24 lbs cat (I know I know) easily. Most carriers can’t handle that much cat 😆

My maincoone doesn’t fit in a regular cat carrier so I had to find something larger. It was really difficult finding a soft sided carrier that is made for larger cats. My large breed cat fits well in this and it's sturdy. However, I'm not a fan of the plastic smell and neither are my cats. It's not super toxic, like some plastic, but you can definitely smell it. When our other carrier arrived last year, they immediately investigated and then took turns sleeping in it. When this one arrived, they investigated it, went in, sniffed it and came out. They haven't been back in. I'm letting it sit out open to hopefully air out, so we'll see, and I'll report back. I'm not sure I'm keeping it yet. My only other complaint is the pad. It sits kind of weird in the carrier, with the edges resting on the side bars and the fold line in the middle has no padding. I gave this four stars because it's practical and sturdy and has plenty of room and circulation, and, after all, it's a carrier, not the cat's primary sleeping area. Hope this helps. ... show more

I have three cats; one is a big boy around 16 pounds. This will be large enough to carry him comfortably in his otherwise hated trips to the vet. It came with a soft carpeted mat for the bottom, which has a vinyl type of material on the bottom. This would be a plus in case one of the kitties has an "accident". My only minor complaint is that the four metal rods that go along the top and bottom sides to make it sturdy are a tiny bit too long. It still seems to work though. Disclaimer: I have not yet traveled with any of the kitties with this carrier, but I have it in the living room and all three like to lie in or around it. I have no idea about travel with this. Our dog had back surgery and this allows me to carry her up and down the stairs while being able to hold the stair rail and put other things in the pocket to take down while also being able to carry a cup or glass. She goes right inside and is happy to be carried. She is a miniature dachshund that weighs about 12 - 15 lbs. I like that both ends unzip so if she doesn't want to turn around to exit, I just open the end she is facing. I like that the top panel unzips so she can see me through the mesh and I could just place her in the carrier from the top if she would not go in on her own. One of the support poles have worked its way out of the pocket with the velcro closure, but I just undo the velcro and re-adjust the pole and use it until I need to adjust again. If something happens to this one, I will buy this style and brand again. I purchased a different carrier before this one that did not have removable support poles for storage collapsing and it started to tear where the supports were before my 30 day return period was up. Again, I do not know how this works for travelling, especially on a plane. I don't think the XL would fit under a seat. ... show more
