These are the best cricket keepers available. Not a fan of scooping up feeder crickets in my hand, the tubes make mealtime for my chameleon much easier! No escapees, and if you keep the tubes out of the enclosure until about five minutes before feeding time, the gut loaded crickets will readily file right in, and all you need to do is just shake them out into your vivarium. The plastic flaps over the holes that the tubes fit into open inward which is very convenient for one handed operation. Great product. ... show more

Great product, However the product I received from Petco was broken. It also appeared to be someone else's return, I assume this because of the condition of the retail packaging along with how it was on the cage. Since this flap is broken the crickets will be able to get out. I will Epoxy it on and use 3 tubes instead of 4 since I need this and can't wait on an exchange. ... show more

    • Clever design and good construction
The Exo Terra Cricket Pen seems superior to the more commonly found Kricket Keeper by Lee's. We have one of each. While the designs are remarkably similar, and both quite clever, the Exo Terra outperforms the Kricket Keeper in a few ways. The top lid seems to be made of better-quality plastic and will probably last longer. The tube-insert holes have built-in covers that automatically work upon removal and insertion of the tubes, with no fuss of having to manually block the holes using flimsy little covers. The crickets hide in the Exo Terra's square black tubes just as readily as they do in the Kricket Keeper's round ones, and the square design seems to make shaking out the crickets easier. The Exo Terra seems well worth a few extra dollars for increased convenience and - probably - extra durability. ... show more

The crickets weren't really going into the tubes. When I buy crickets, there are at least 250 to 500 so they don't really fit very well. I need something bigger.

    • A great cricket keeper
I needed to house and dispense live crickets to my gecko. The Cricket Pen does both very well. I am on my first batch of 40 crickets and after a week, everyone is healthy and no one has escaped. The large pen is appropriate for 50 adult or 100 small crickets. I have had a small Cricket Pen for months. It showed itself to be durable, but too small. Unless you enjoy a couple trips a week to the pet shop, I would go with the large size. ... show more
