This chair feels like quality on almost everything, except for one thing which is why I didn't give it 5 stars, but I will get to that at the end. To start with, it came well packaged with every piece individually packaged in the box, so that nothing would scratch or tear. It came with all the hardware needed to put it together, including a T-handle hex wrench which surprisingly lasted the entire install without rounding out on the edges. All of the hex bolts came with blue loctite on them, which is nice! The directions were straightforward and accurate, which is not usually the case with a lot of these from China items on Amazon, so bonus there. Following the instructions, step by step, it only took me 15 minutes to put the chair together, but if you are not mechanically inclined or have never put one together before I would say budget at least 45 minutes for unboxing and assembly. One thing about assembly that is not included in the instructions that I would recommend, when you get to the step to install the arm rests, don't tighten them down and leave them loose so that the arm rests can move. This will make installing the back much easier. Quality on this item is nice, I would rate it up with the better mid end executive computer chairs that you find at Office Depot. The PU leather has adequate thickness and feels good to the touch and the chair feels comfortable and sturdy while in it. The one thing that detracts from it is the rocking lock assembly. When I put it in the lock position and lean back, it tilts to the right and the lock doesn't feel firm. It doesn't feel like it is going to break and I go flying back (have had that happen on other chairs, not fun!), but it feels like the lock bar is flexing. I am a taller guy and at 220 lbs I would be concerned that it could bend if I was much over 250 lbs. The chair itself does feel like it would be fine at the rated 300 lbs, with the exception of the aforementioned locking mechanism. All of that being said, I think it is a decent value. I looked at comparable chairs online at Office Depot and most are in the +$200 range at regular price, but when they are on sale they are in the low to mid $100+ range. So if you need a chair now and/or don't have an office store running a sale near you, then I think this is a very decent buy. If you are more cost conscious and don't mind taking the time and shopping around for the best deal, then there are others out there. ... show more

This chair is a real upgrade for me. I previously had an armless, mid-back chair with just foam padding on the seat. The cushioning in the seat is super comfortable, the back is high enough to support all the way up to my shoulders, but it still pushes fully under my desk and takes up very little space when I am not sitting in it. I often sit with one leg bent and tucked underneath me, and the seat on this chair is large enough and padded enough that I can sit very comfortably in this position. According to the product description, this chair has springs in the seat cushion, which really makes a difference in the feel of it when you're sitting in it. Before this chair I've only had desk chairs with foam padding in the seat, and they could get uncomfortable after sitting in them for a while. I'm really appreciating the extra robust cushioning, and the fact that the seat is large enough that i can shift my position a little bit every now and then so that it doesn't get too uncomfortable sitting in exactly the same position all the time. The shape and padding of the back of the chair is also super comfortable and supports my back all the way up to my shoulders. It's also nice to be able to rock back a little, and adjust the amount of pressure needed to rock the chair back so that it is just how I want it. The armrests are comfortable, sturdy, and also well padded, and you can flip them up if needed to make it easier to get in and out of the chair, or to make it easier to push the chair under your desk. The legs or spokes that form the base of the chair are made of metal, further adding to its durability. They each need to be attached to the base with a screw during assembly, but the rest of the chair assembles pretty much like any other office chair that I've had in the past. The instructions are simple and easy to understand, an allen wrench with a comfortable plastic handle is included for assembly, and there were a few extra screws included as well. All in all, I'm extremely happy with this chair. It is more expensive than the office chairs that I've had in the past, but the difference in comfort and quality is enough that I'd have a really hard time going back to a budget chair again after this one. I'm just hoping that the faux leather holds up for as long as I expect the rest of the chair to last! ... show more

I ordered this chair for my wonderful teacher aide who has been with me for years. She needed a nice office chair. Assembly was as expected and very much like all the other chairs I've put together over the years. The bolts etc all come sealed which was appreciated. I also appreciate the extras. The only trouble I had in assembly was getting the back of the chair into position, but with a bit of pressure, the problem was solved. I would call assembling this a two-person job. One person could do it but two makes it much easier. This chair looks amazing in my classroom. It is a nicer chair than my own and I'm the teacher. My aide's son had a bet with his mom that I would take this chair for my own and give her my old one. I confess the thought crossed my mind, but in the end I was happy to present it to her. Beautiful comfort are the adjectives I'd use for this chair. Once you in the chair you don't want to get out. In fact, my students argue over who gets to sit in it when she isn't here. The leather is soft to the touch as well. I really love this chair and can't say enough good about it. I think it is time to order another for myself. ... show more
